The playcalling was better when Lawrence entered the game. They gave him the opportunity to take the starting role

Kelly Bryant isn’t a star. Lawrence is a better option at this point in the eyes of his coach and the coach is making the decision that’s best for his team. He’s there to win not to make everyone feel good about themselves. The players know who’s better and that they are limited offensively with Bryant in there.

You do realize that Trevor Lawrence was the #1 overall recruit last year and considered one of the best HS prospects to come out this decade, right? He's not a "flavor of the month" - Lawrence is a better player, full stop. The stats back that up, and Clemson's performance on the field backs that up.

This isn't pop warner. It's Division 1 football. Not everyone gets to play.

lol this isn't highschool and no he's not one of the best HS prospects to come out this decade... not even close.
Bryant was a 5 star recruit as well, Dabo **** the bed.. he shouldve handled it like Saban and waited until the QB play gave him no other choice but to go with the younger QB.

Clemson's offense is nothing but 1 or 2 read passes like it's always been since Dabo's been the HC. As soon as Lawrence get his *** popped there will be no one else to turn to. Dabo needed Bryant to beat Texas A&M... Lawrence wasn't making **** happen that game, you think these scrub teams they've played since means anything in terms of how Lawrence is going to look the rest of the year??.. we'll see how "one of the best prospects in a decade" holds up in the end.

Bryant was a 3 star recruit. He beat out higher rated recruits to win the job after Watson graduated. Just like Lawrence beat him out this year. He could have stayed on the team. He probably would have gotten playing time, especially if Lawrence struggled but he chose to quit. He wants to be the started somewhere else. Go for it.

LOL...we couldn't even beat an LSU team with a scrub, sub-50% passer, but you like our chances better vs a 65% passer.

And have you seen Clemson's D, they get so many guys in the backfield you can't tell which team is on offense.

And Bryant didn’t make clutch plays before Carrying Clemson to the national title last year

Renfrow will be lucky to play for the Canadian football league... they have plenty of 5 star WRs that could replace him.

I stand corrected he was a 3 star... so was Lamar Jackson. There isn’t anybody on their schedule that Bryant hasn’t already beaten. You don’t bench the leader of ur team for a true freshman when he’s done nothing to lose the job.

You wait until it’s settled on the field like with Tua and Hurt and Tyrod and Baker... whether it’s an injury or poor performance.

Sure...they could've kept starting Bryant...but no way is he beating Bama, UGA or OSU with 5 yard throws and 3 yard runs. He is VERY limited as a passer. Dabo had to make the change if he wants to compete with the teams mentioned above. It's not about winning the crappy ACC....its about winning the NC. Bryant could not do that.

Rosier takes that team to the playoffs last year if he was their starting QB.

Rosier just led Miami to their best season since 2003! How do you bench him for a player who has proven nothing as a starter?

That's what the Bryant defenders sound like to me.

yeah...just like 5* Deon Cain who dropped a wide open TD against Bama last year. Renfrow has more TD's against Bama than any SEC wide receiver over the past 3 years. He won't play in the NFL due to his size, but he has had the best hands on that team over the past 4 years.
