Here is a real coach.. These are the ranked teams Dabo has beat under his watch at Clemson.
Potatoes please explain to me again how we are going to beat Clemson this weekend.

Please state where the team finished the year. most of those teams probably finished outside the top 25

Dabo's record against teams that finished the season ranked is 8-12 while Golden record is 0-11.
Based on this alone, Clemson should be the favorite.

thats rather silly as both have been coaching under different set of circumstances to judge on an even basis like you're trying to do.
Not taking anything away from Dabo as I think he's a heck of a coach, but you don't evaluate games on those simplistic terms.
Yes Clemson should be favorite, but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that they will win or be a blowout.
Miami has gone toe to toe with FSU two years in a row. Beat a UF team loaded with high caliber athletes..
We'll see but I'm liking my chances at an upset and Golden's 1st win vs a top 5 team.

There are greater chances of me winning the lottery on the way home and then finding Buffy the body in my bed nude...... before AG beats a legit top 10 team.

Clemson is a very good home and neutral field team, but different team on the road.
Stats:
In your list above, only 2 were road victories. One vs Va Tech in 2011, who ended the year ranked 21st, and the other against our 2010 (7-6 and unranked) Hurricanes, in overtime.
Dabo is 0-6 on the road vs. ranked teams in the last 3 years.
Dabo is 17-19 on the road as the Clemson coach.

Given all that, I still think this will be a tough one for our Canes.

You're delusional. Of course you evaluate coaches on their record against top teams: that's kind of the whole point.

How about evaluating Golden on the fact that he is in the FIFTH year of coaching UM, has had top 25 recruiting classes every year, and the team he leads is not even sniffing a top 25 ranking?

It's very, very hard to coach at UM for five years and not even be in the discussion of top 25 teams.

Randy (who is now a position coach) had this team in the top 10 and finished the season ranked in 2009 iirc.

this just highlights how bad Alfraud is. historically awful

He beat 2 top 25s in bowl games... LSU and a 12-2 Ohio State team in the Orange Bowl a few years back. That's a double double whammy over Al.

That 2009 game was incredibly frustrating. We (jacory) gave that game away. That season had a chance to be special and they ****ed it away vs Clemson and north Carolina. The VT game was somewhat predictable. But the others were disgusting

See whats going on up here^^^^^ thats what I call progress and a program that was built up and heading in the right direction. A REAL coach... something Goldie will never be. And Dabo's problems of late have come from FSU who isnt near the team they were.. and USCe and they are down as well with Spurrier leaving town.

I'll take Dabo all day everyday over Goldie.

What did he say on Joe Rose? Please enlighten us with comments from the great DaaaaBooo. I would like nothing better than to see the Canes run them off. I hope some of the end zone freaks show up to make this an interesting afternoon if you get my drift. Crank up the music baby :sneakiness:

LETS GO CANES:stormwarningflag-sm

Dabo is 17-19 on the road as the Clemson coach.

Scariest stat posted yet.

Don't worry:
Dabo on the road the last 4 years and this year: 12-8
Dabo vs unranked teams, on the road, last 4 years and this year: 12-2, 11 in a row.

Looks like Dabo wins the games he's supposed to.
Feel better?

They played 1 road game this year (1 road game?)
A 3 point win over Louisville.

There are greater chances of me winning the lottery on the way home and then finding Buffy the body in my bed nude...... before AG beats a legit top 10 team.

If Goldy happens to win on saturday, give me a call.
I'll keep Buffy busy while you're out spending your winnings.
