Da U spending Da đź’°

Well he sure came up with enough money to extend al golden. :rustled:

LMAO Golden's base salary was $250K. He was making about $2 million when fired. James fires Golden, not only takes the hit on the buyout but also gets the board to actually spend money.

The entire Donna narrative is ill-informed at best. She cared more about sports than Frenk does and has less say over spending than the BoT. James is doing yeoman's work and y'all are hating on him left and right.

Speaking as someone who appreciates what you bring to this board, you showed your *** with the part in bold.

Lets be clear with each other. Donna shalala went to great lengths to prevent UM football from reaching its on-field potential. GREAT LENGTHS.

Golden's "base salary" was meaningless. Many coach contracts are drafted like that, with much of the compensation tied to revenue streams. He was making $2.7 million when fired.

Shalala was not afraid to spend on athletics, and she did spend. I could post numbers to back that up. She may have been terrible, but she did spend money. That was because she wanted a great athletics program. She failed, but it was her goal.

If she spent money where was that financial commitment in the coaching staff in here tenure at Miami? Where was the facility upgrades to keep up with everyone else?

The basketball arena was built during her tenure. More was spent on coaches than before. During her tenure, spending on football went up over 250%. You have no idea how far behind Miami was... In 2004, Miami spent $10,679,344 on football. In 2015, it spent almost $30 million.

I’ll make the argument right here right now how she buried this football program

UM spending big money hiring young, aggressive football coaches at the exact moment that donna ****lala leaves Miami for Washington DC.

Coincidence???

.

Never prevent a conservative from sounding like a conservative

Thank you for allowing me to laugh at a SAM as early as 2 AM. Normally it is a bit deeper into the day.

No way miami paid 1.5 mil for Enos lol

A BoT member told Richt he would be allowed to spend 1m on an OC. With Richt retiring the uni has more money to allocate, in addition to hiring Diaz for less money than Richt, it's not hard to believe.

Your reports are wrong. He was making 200k. Miami cut that check and now he's here.

Bama paid him 200k because he was still getting a check from when he got fired at CMU. He was due to have his Bama pay increased to 875k in 2020 when the pay-out from CMU was over.

That runt dyke libtard shalalala was a root cause of Miami’s mediocrity! Now she is going to leach off US taxpayers as a congresswoman....great.....smdh

Enos is getting a guaranteed 3 year, $4.5 million deal.

$1.5/yr makes him the 2nd highest paid OC, and 6th/7th highest paid coordinator overall in the country
I have to ask I like the hire but if bama people thought so much of him why didn't bama make a counter offer.it's not like they couldn't offer more.
