Da U spending Da đź’°

Just want to see how the offense ranks after 2-3 years. I don’t expect a guy to fix a 104th ranked offense into a top 10 his first year......although with us playing in the ACC coastal it’s certai possible.

I believe the culture has to be fixed. I would like to see a top 10 offense at Miami at some point in time. Like when did we last rank top 10 in offense?

Bama paid him 200k because he was still getting a check from when he got fired at CMU. He was due to have his Bama pay increased to 875k in 2020 when the pay-out from CMU was over.

Maybe Arkansas was still paying him because Chad Morris let him go when he got the HC gig?

But Enos left CMU on his own. He actually made more money being the OC for Arkansas than he did as HC at CMU.

We clearly paid the man. Nobody knows the real number as it doesn't need to be released and it won't be. Blake James clearly wanted to invest in the offense. Well done.

If he does work out I hope it has a hefty buy out clause. Can't do this again anytime soon this last week has been brutal checking the site every 5 min.

I did't remember who, I just know he was getting a check from elsewhere. Assumed CMU

Let's be honest- the buzz ALONE on the idea (correct or not) that we outspent Baga and Jawja to land this guy helps the image and momentum of this program immensely too. Often image is more than substance and a big hurdle for us has always just been needing to APPEAR that we'd compete with the big boys on fronts like this.

I have to ask I like the hire but if bama people thought so much of him why didn't bama make a counter offer.it's not like they couldn't offer more.
Because they may have only matched or slightly higher. Also Saban is a fvck a hole that some get tired of. Oh yeah and lets compare Miami to bumfvxk tuskkkalooser.

Shalala was not afraid to spend on athletics, and she did spend. I could post numbers to back that up. She may have been terrible, but she did spend money. That was because she wanted a great athletics program. She failed, but it was her goal.

Dapper,
IMO there is perhaps no one on this website that has the same level of credibility as you on these issues, so I always take your posts to heart. As always, I appreciate ANY input you bring in these discussions.

That said, my issue is with donna's management of the football program and not the AD as a whole. We know that she signed off on coaching hires that were incredibly subpar. Im not sure how anyone could have interviewed Randy Shannon and felt he had the intellectual wherewithal to run a power five program. I give a pass for the initial al golden hire simply because a friend of mine who is well connected to the upper echelon of the NFL industry told me the entire industry was fooled by al golden. But the extension was pushed purely for non-football reasons. TEN YEAR EXTENSION, mind you. That's negligent.

Moreover, we know that donna instructed head football coaches to recruit more nationally and less locally. To me, that was a pure sign that she was interested in style of substance. Donna was always about controlling the PR message. (yeah I know, Willie Williams, blah blah blah..). At the end of the day, the proof was in the puddin'. The football program was at the pinnacle of CFB when she got to UM and it was in the toilet when she left. And the decline was steady and constant.

Shalala was part of the group of LGBT women who believe football is a display of "toxic masculinity ". Can't have men acting like men. I bet she made soy protein the main staple of our supplements program.
