Da U spending Da đź’°

He's got a lot on his plate...

Would not doubt that Manny Diaz gives him a lot of autonomy over the offense.

Hoping for the best here. Manny Diaz's tenure here likely rides big on this one decision.

Conviction about Manny Diaz is huge. Manny was able to convince a big name to come. Being able to recruit talented coaches is a huge part of the game. The first hire as an unproven HC, especially on the side of the ball you don't know, can make or break you. If Enos kills it and leaves in 2-3 years, the next hire will be easier to make, with additional credibility.

Reports were Enos making $800k in prior position. You figure UGA was going well above that and I’m sure Bama too. No doubt Canes went well north of $1mm/season.

Don’t jinx it but it sounds like they are at least realizing that they have to spend a little more.
they realized that when hired richt. paid him going rate in cfb. they stopped being cheap the moment Shalala left as president. blake james as ad has spent more on coaches then any ad at Miami probably ever. they do realize have to spend to win now and football matters stats show that teams with good sports teams get more students applying there there university

Your reports are wrong. He was making 200k. Miami cut that check and now he's here.

Guess my rants helped get them off there ***...............whatever works. JK but I do hope they said fuq this open the check book we not playing no more, fans complaining them not wanting to win probably got to them who knows.

Im sure we paid him quite a bit but I heard on UGA's that Enos wanted to make a additional staff change on offense and Kirby said no.

If true, Diaz just shot his load on Enos. If Enos fails, Diaz fails. Plain and simple.
Diaz and everyone else knew that this hire would make or break him.

So spending big $ is a no brainer.

We went from talking about Applewhite (a guy nobody wants) to a guy everyone wants.

Enos is getting a guaranteed 3 year, $4.5 million deal.

$1.5/yr makes him the 2nd highest paid OC, and 6th/7th highest paid coordinator overall in the country

If those numbers are true, well there is your conviction. But it ain't my money, so overpaid / underpaid, it doesn't really matter and I don't give a ****. I am just happy we have some competency in place now.
