Da fuq?

Canes gonna shock the world.

I don't care what the "preseason rankings" say...it wouldn't be a shock at all.

We're playing at home, in a rivalry game, with a clear advantage at quarterback and finally a competent head coach.

I'd be very disappointed if we don't beat them this year. For the love of God the last 3 years have been close and we had the worst coach in all of division 1. Zero excuse for not winning this year.

Man, I swear, THE ONLY thing we disagree on is Randy Shannon because I agree with most of your posts.
Golden is worse than Shannon. Worse, Shannon tried to make changes. And no way he field that defense that as the worse cane D of all time. And he was a first time HC.

Saying Shannon is worse than Golden is like trying to pick out the prettiest fat girl from a lineup of Sumo wrestlers.

We've had 3 ******* horrible coaching staffs in a row. Period. The fact NONE of the three have been able to get head coaching gigs at a major university (Sorry Coker but coaching a startup program doesn't qualify) is all the proof you need to know.

We're the definition of a sleeping giant. It's time to wake the **** up already.

All facts.. lets get this train rolling

Can't wait to see that stadium come October 8th. Complete different feel than the last couple home games against them. Went into those games feeling like we were gonna win despite knowing realistically we likely wouldn't. This year I really do thing we're gonna win. And that stadium better be turned around to all 'canes in the seats unlike recent memory where it almost felt like a FSU home game. I don't want to hear that **** chant in our house.

Just load up and stop Cook. Who is the qb for FSU again? Whoever that guy is he wont beat us with his arm.

I actually think we will beat them easily.

Play action will kill us we need to stop cook with our front 7 then when they try to pass we can create turnovers....

Did this dude say that Kaaya was only good partially because he was a system QB???? Did I hear that right. What was Coley's system?

I usually don't read the crap in the pre-season mags. Usually boiler plate stuff that's regurgitated from the previous year.
Same thing with the pre-game "analysis" on TV. I usually just turn the sound down.

The attacking style we're going to play is susceptible to the mid-range stuff.
If the QB wants to go deep on the play-action, he'll be playing into our hands. If he takes what we give them, it could be a problem.
i say just keep sending the house and let the chips fall where they may.

I don't understand what these *** clowns actually do. The bias is insane how all of these dudes are so adamant shows me how little they know about the game they report on... we should've beat them with an inferior staff & less talent. What do you think happens now! I can't wait to see those young bucks make francois or whoever da Fuq Chris rix 2.0

I haven't seen an "expert" yet who seems even the slightest bit concerned by FSU's QB situation and/or the underwhelming production of their WRs. I mean, last time they were on the field they lost by 20 to Houston, they've been barely beating lesser teams for a couple years now, and they have a lot of guys to replace. They certainly haven't been dominating Miami in recent games. They easily could've lost the last two, and that place is gonna be rocking on Oct 8th. I absolutely think Miami beats them this year.

A majority of these "experts" know little about college football outside of the top ten major programs. Every other team gets evaluated like this:

Ok, what was their record last year?
How many starters did they lose?
What was their ranking in total offense/defense last year?

That's it.

There's a boatload of nuances in predicting a team's performance but 90% of these hacks don't bother with research, they just regurgitate the same lines and statistics everyone else sees. They just see that FSU has been a top team for the last few years and Miami has been mediocre.

FSU isnt a better team talent wise over Miami except at cornerback and o-line to a lesser extent.

We have the edge at QB, TE, they have the edge at OL and CB.. Its a tie everywhere else including RB and DL.

Demarcus Walker killed us last year and was a big reason they won...I dont think we have anybody as good as Demarcus Walker

Some number of years ago, some reporter asked a coach how he was planning to handle whoever the red hot halfback was that they were facing. His response was something to the effect that they won't have to worry about him if they get to the quarterback before the exchange. The takeaway was simple. A successful attacking defense will keep an offense in check.

(Brad + Mark) + [Defense + Kool - (Golden + the crap filled Mark + ton of useless fat)] = Davin cooked in backfield and Canes by 16.
