D will be back to normal next week

Yep, you're a complete homer and have no idea why I am wasting my time and energy trying to have some semblance of a discussion with someone like you. Arkansas State is a division II school. And Cincinnati is not good on offense, particularly when they played us when their quarterback could barely walk.

Also, I was one of the 7 people in the stands at the Duke game. I don't think people realize how much it was raining at that game. Guys were slipping all over the field, and I am not sure you can see that on TV, assuming the game was on TV.

It boggles my mind when people refer to the Duke game as us being aggressive on defense. Very easy to be aggressive on defense when there is torrential downpour. People don't talk about it, which confirms my belief that no one went to the game, because the weather at that game cannot be overstated.

Miami played Arky state, FAMU, Cincinnati, Duke (in the rain), and a putrid VT. If only they could play those teams every weekend, then Miami would have the number one defense.

Unfortunately against teams with a pulse on offense, Miami got lit up against Nebraska, Louisville, and Georgia Tech.

We were top 20 coming into this week? So yea ill take a top 20 defense ... Clueless

Except that Louisville sucks on offense, which is probably why they didn't light us up. That game was won by their D. Oh and Arky St and Cincy have better offenses than anyone on our schedule except Nebraska.

Do you just make this stuff up as you go, or do you spend hours in post prep?

UL sucks on offense and they were able to drop 31 points on us. Not bad for a team without their best player (Parker).

Yeah, they lit us up big time, with their 336 in total offense and three yards a carry. I'm sure our 3 turnovers and giving up a special teams score had nothing to do with it.

You should really watch our games sometime.

FIU held them to 336 also. Syracuse 352. Clemson 264. Virginia 285. NcSt 369.

Virtually every team they've played has played them better than us on D. We were slighty better than NcSt and as good as FIU.

And better than Syracuse if you want to play that game, which has a very serviceable D. That's just what we have, a serviceable D. The stats say it, our record says it. Mediocre. Run-of-the-mill. Middle-of-the-road.

That doesn't make me a homer or a slurper or whatever. It makes me someone who can evaluate the team objectively.

With Golden, we can look forward to this for years.

One week, "We're Back!" Next week, "We SUK!" Next week, "We're Back!" Next week, "We SUK!"

On and on, and on, and on. Years.

We're so accustomed to sucking, we get excited over beating lower tier teams. Pitiful.

Here's another look:

Louisville average: 370/against Mia: 336
Arky: 473/329
Nebraska: 523/456
Duke: 420/246
GT: 463/386
Cincy: 464/422
VT: 378/262

Great? No. Good, not really, cuz there are some scrubs on all these teams schedules. Awful? No. Better than last year, when each team had their season best against us. Uh, yeah.

These is just the facts, inconvenient though they are.

I completely agree with you man. We deserve better.

I did. Both sides sucked. The defense and offense got raped.

Not sure what game you saw.

The only fact I need to know is we couldn't stop their O and we lost 31-13. Moving on...

the tards that say the defense is better...better than what? last year? maybe. thats hardly anything to be excited about

this defense and these coaches are pure ***** fheggots. it will not change until they are gone. UNC, FSU, and UVA will light us up

Have no faith in this team to win ANY of our remaining games with this defenxe. If we play like we did Thursday, we'll obviously be fine except for FSU, but we played okay against Duke and then sucked against GT. Just a roller coaster ride with this goofy staff.

Thats a better stat line to use. That's where all the venom came from last year is pretty much every team we played has their best game against us. If it wasn't year four it would be different. But it just shows how fed up people are but again I go back to the way these guys bull**** non stop.

The defense could be really good this year. All those screenshots of baffling presnap alignments and asinine decisions that cost us points and yards are impossible to ignore.
