D will be back to normal next week

Lol I think it's funny when people make a claim then act like it's the other people's responsibility to disprove their claim. That's not how debate works fellas, if you make the claim then YOU need to back it up. I ain't looking **** up for you.

I really don't mind giving up a bunch of points and yards to UNC, it's just going to be how do we go about it. If we attack Williams he will make mistakes. If we give him easy reads and play passive it goes against our strengths.

Im not suggesting it's blitz blitz blitz or our DC is an idiot, but in a situation like this we need to get after the QB and rely on our secondary. They are going to get beat, but if we choose the slow death, it completely ***** up our offense. We need to give our OL enough time to work like they did last week and impose our will. The slow death approach is non-sensical especially against a team like this.

Any **** head with half a brain knows VT attacked the field differently coming out in the 2nd half. If they actually watched the **** game. I have to prove what? I'm not going to watch the game for some brain dead dumb ****.

If not UNC, then FSU. Wait if not FSU, then Virginia, or Pitt. Keep trying eventually you'll get it right. Then you can come on here and gloat, because after all you want to be right more than Miami win.

Translation: "Fck. What do I do now."

I told you, go and actually watch the game.

So you don't know what "translation" means when it follows a quote. I'm shocked.

This is what you do. Useless porst that constantly deflect from what the initial conversation was about. Its kids play. I don't have the time or inclination to explain football to you if you can't recognize how VT attacked the field coming out in the 2nd half.

Listen to yourself. You're saying that the nation's #87 offense didn't make any changes in the week before the game, but in 20 minutes at halftime they came up with a new offense. And you can't come up with any evidence to support it.

That's how people like you operate. Make a dumb claim, then refuse to back it up and tell other people that they are stupid if they can't see it.

New offense is a bit of a stretch, but they did make obvious adjustments. Going tempo on the first drive was brilliant and was extremely successful for example. My problem was just how he laid out his argument. I find myself agreeing with Miami82 a lot these days, which is weird

The Virginia tech game was by no means a true sample to evaluate the defense whatsoever.

The first half was quicksand for Virginia Tech. The phantom block in the back on the punt on a player way past the punt returner, along with questionable calls and "fortunate" breaks, including a punt that pinned them inside the five, never allowed VT to calm down.

The second half was more representative of what we can expect from this putrid defense. Before the wind was completely taken out of their sails and they gave up, VT was moving the ball with ease and we were fortunate to get 3 straight fumbles in one quarter...fumbles that came after VT had positive yardage. One of their fumbles also came on the verge of them scoring in the red zone.

And, again, VT is deplorable on offense. But, we back!

Let's be ostriches and put our heads in the sand and think every weekend our opponent will be Virginia Tech.

Everything said here is True......

"Had they run that O in the first half that they ran after halftime the game would have been different."

Different O.

Do you really see people saying We Back or are they just Miami fans enjoying a win over VT?

WE Back is over board, but some are making a bigger deal out of this win that what it was. I think that is fairly obvious.

I think it is more obvious that Golden haters and **** stirrers are making excuses for the win and others are saying, no one is crowning anything or anyone, can't fans enjoy the game for a day before we get back to the same bull**** that has dominated the board for a year.

We beat VTs *** by running it down their throats. I'll take it. It don't think it is unreasonable for a fan to say if we play that way in the future we will win games. Expecting it to happen. Now that is unreasonable.

Again (sigh, again), no one is saying 'we back'. The defense is better. Yeah the second half was worse. That's what we're doing now, not even cherry picking games, but halves? Does the D get no credit for TOs? That's new. A 4th down conversion from a road shutout and the mopes still can't help themselves.

UNC will put up yards, but it's another decent matchup for the D. They aren't a dominant run team, which is our Achilles heel. We're not great, but no team giving up 3.6 a carry is a disaster on D.

When you're up 24-0, THAT's the right time to play more conservative on defense and think about eating up the clock. We gave them the short passes and took away any quick scores. I have no problem with that when playing with a big lead. When I have a problem with it is when we play that way from the opening snap.

But give credit where it's due man. Thursday was the best all around game I've seen Miami play since Al Golden got here. The defense had a good game.

U mean like last year with the two big returns that turned into fumbles for us and that third down missed tackle clinic.... Part of the game mane.

Our staff needs a lot changes but i still want my team to win and am happy when they do. When VT beat OSU people got spooked about our schedule. We drill em and now it's stipulations. Injuries bad calls and whatever else are part of the game. WE took the game out of the refs hands something that should be applauded.

Some of y'all are just piggybacking other people's emotions and stance being part of a mob. Grow a pair and a brain
