Patience!!! Steed is ready to go now and recently has been added to the travel squad. Hopefully he can make it out of this season without burning his redshirt. Better to redshirt than to play this late in the season imo. I have heard that he has been causing havoc on scout team. One particular RB was called out for not being able to block him and some o-lineman were told that he was giving them ****. The bad part is that Manny doesn't get to watch the scout team defense but I'm sure he has been told who looks the part by some of the offensive coaches. I don't doubt Manny at all but imo he should try to pick up another 2-3 LB's this year. One thing about my son is he is not scared to compete, so no pressure there!!!

I agree and I am excited to see what he can do in Diaz's scheme come spring. I believe there may have been talks of transfer in the LB group but that was earlier in the season so I'm not sure if it still holds any ground but we will see.

would personally like to see 3 LB in this class but rousseau will play out there and if we don't get joyner i assume we'll jump on another guy. pete said already that we're looking at more 4-2-5 in the future and i think taking i.e. randy russell as a recruit early in the cycle is an indication of what the staff envisions a second level player to look like going forward

Would suck. I'm one of those who thinks we need to recruit another LB. Unless we plan to go full-blown 4-2-5, in which case I'd still go for a hybrid.

I people act like we didn't bring in 3 LBs this last class. Jennings will be a plug in that middle. Let's also not forget we should get Gourdinier back. Not sure how he will return from the injury but I see him on the sideline during the games. I'll say it again. McCloud needs to play down hill. Playing base D against 3 or more WR is stupid and Diaz knows it doesn't work when he tried it v Toledo. He could have cost us the game. Play the players to their strength. Not very difficult

I'm pretty confident Manny Diaz can coach linebackers and not the OP. Our Canes are about to close out an undefeated regular season, play in the ACC Championship Game, are ranked #2 in the nation in the AP & Coach's Polls, and #3 in the College Football Playoff where the Top 4 teams play for the National Title..........and the OP is complaining about a 3rd string Freshman QB that won't have any MEANINGFUL SNAPS until at least his junior year because of the underclassmen in front of him?

Personally, I want to talk about how that this is the best UM team since 2002. And how the Canes have a LEGITIMATE shot of winning a national championship this year. And then, we bring in a top 5 recruiting class to go with a boatload of returning starters. You know what that means right? Yep, Miami will have a chance to repeat because the Canes will be preseason Top 5 next year. What a great time to be a Cane.
