D$ I NEED YOUR HELP

Part of the game… when TV deals exploded and players weren’t getting ANY of the pie what do you expect was gonna happen… the reasons the fans are in those seats, the reason the billions were spent, and why coaches were getting NFL equivalent contracts what do you expect

kids deserved to pick their path just like coaches had the flexibility… they have the right to profit off their name image and likeness when their becoming a household name
I do agree with some of what you said. I hate the fact that coaches could come and go as they please. But I truly believe they need to reinstate you sit a year if you transfer. Y'all can hate me all you want but it would fix a lot.

I was just voicing my frustration with the current system and chatting on a board I enjoy. I know Danny can't do ****. I was just starting a conversation where I could state I hate the transfer portal. That is all. I know D$ is just like all of us. I sincerely hate the portal. It makes these guys weak IMO

Nah, I know. That’s me really taking a jab at D$. Lol. Good ppls, but even good ppls get stray bullets. Lol.

Nah, seriously…totally agree w u. The Portal is more of a problem than NIL, keeping it solid. It needs curtailing in the best way possible.

I agree to a point. I hate where the game has gone. It went from teams having full control to now players having control. There needs to be a middle ground. I don't want universities have complete control, but I also hate having these kids have all the power. There's gotta be a middle ground. It's simply ruining the game. All the dudes above hating on my comments. It's all good. There's gotta be accountability on both sides.

Whatever restrictions imposed on the coaches, should go the same for the player. You should never limit what a player can make, while he has the opportunity to make. My best guess on how to fix this would be buy-out clauses that are negotiated fairly between school representation and the players representatives. That way both benefit in the end.

My solution to the transfer portal is rather simple:

•If a coach (Head or Assistant) leaves a program you committed to: Immediate Eligibility

•If you are a grad student: Immediate Eligibility

•If there is a family crisis which causes a student athlete to move back home/closer to home: Immediate Eligibility

•If you transfer once as an undergraduate: Immediate Eligibility

•If you transfer twice as an undergraduate: Must sit out the 1st 3 games of the season (except if the reason for transferring is coach leaves/fired, or a family crisis)

•If you transfer 3+ as an undergraduate: Must sit out a yr (except if the reason for transferring is coach leaves/fired, or a family crisis)

That’s fair, that’s equitable, & it will bring stability & semblance.

I always enjoy your perspective

The transfer portal is ruining the game in my opinion. You have clout. It needs to go away. COVID is gone. If a player transfers they need to sit a year. In my opinion, it's taking away the toughness and fight from these kids. Please put this out!!! I know I'm going to get mixed results. I don't care. These athletes are becoming weak and afraid of competition.
F for effort. I blame your parents.
