this defense wont be that good.
3 of the better players on that defense just left. Then guys that were logging 1st team snaps all camp are gone with limited time.
You do realize if another lb or 2 drop we will have walk on guys out there....

AQM is probably our best dl. Juwan Young was a starting caliber linebacker...YALL trippin....

I dont know what to say....alot of peeps are good until after that first snap and yous ee sh*t get real....

3 -4 freshman backers logging time??...and yall "GOOD"?. I didnt even get into depth guys like Gayot, james King that left either.

This defense wasnt that good last year...

This.

I think it was JJ who said EVERY freshman starting at a critical spot will cost you at least one game. UM is trotting out frosh LB, I don't care how good they will be (the best hopefully), they are kids now. And like a young Ed Reed getting torched by PSU, they will cost us games. UM wins 10-11 games with this D, it will be a freakin miracle, nothing less.

Nah man, by its actions, the university clearly thought those three players were expendable. Miami does NOT get to use this situation as an excuse if the defense falters this season...10 wins and a defense that passed the eye test of being a Miami defense is the expectation.

My God you're stupid. It has nothing to do with these three being "expendable." It has everything to do with us still being on probation and not wanting to take the risk of more trouble with the NCAA. If Kayaa had been involved, he would have been thrown off just like AQM and Grace. What's at stake is bigger than any player, no matter how in-expendable he may be.

Why such a hard *** on the expectations thing? Losing your two best defensive players would certainly affect the expectations of any level-headed fan. You can expect 10 wins all you want, but it just got quite a bit tougher.

The bottom line is the University made a choice to get rid of those players. Their hand was not forced. I've already made that point and people understand it.

The first game we lose, when people are good and frustrated you can bet your *** I'm gonna be reminding people of how Grace and Muhammad could have been a help to us in the game.

The University created this situation for themselves and they're not gonna get a pass from me. They need to change their paradigm and focus on winning or they are going to have to learn to live with the pressure

So AQM, Grace and Young above possible NCAA infraction and possible costly penalties.

It's natural when you lose something to overvalue it, and expect the worse. For example, no one really expected to have the best scoring defense in the country after losing Dan Morgan.

I know I didn't expect FSU to average 50 PPG a game with Winston as a first year starter.

I didn't think we would lead the nation in passing defense with 4 new starters in 2002.

I am looking forward to the season, so we can get so many questions answered

More like success and winning above impressing the ostentatious bow tie wearing crowd at the next ACC luncheon event.

Miami should be "bad boy" Miami and not try to be Notre Dame. We can be a great academic institution and still embrace the U if the 80's and all that came with it. To me, it's about being who we are and winning at everything we do, instead we try to change who we are to conform to the expectations of others, and we are mediocre at best.

If Miami tries to be Notre Dame, the best it can ever do is become a cheap, less successful knockoff. But we can do Miami with the fatigues and the dancing better than anybody on earth

You're so obviously a rival troll that I'm going to enjoy going through your old posts as if I were holding your hand and whispering in your ear while you're slowly escorted to Bandtown.

No Cane is this much of a painstaking caricature of what our haters assume we are. Nole, Domer or some other shade of unfulfilled sap, bleating on and imitating the hand drawn identity of what you think Canes believe indicts no one but you. If you notice, no one on here agrees with your idiocy, despite your breathless frothing. And we're actually fans who have a stake in this team.
