Why the **** wouldn’t you take a shot at playing in the NFL? So he should just throw in the towel then…

Sometimes all it takes is a shot, no matter how bad the odds are stacked against you. He could stay a practice squad guy for a few years, get cut, get a shot at a permanent role, or even a staff job with the right attitude and drive.

I wish him well as I always have and I've never heard a negative comment about him.

I have nothing but respect for D’Eriq. He’s a class act and came in and completely turned around our QB room that had fallen apart. I wish him all the best in whatever he chooses to do and have no doubt he’ll give everything he’s got.

Ken Dorsey was kept on rosters as long as he was because he was coaching up the other QBs. I can't remember who said it, but one of his head coaches said just that. He was coaching as a player. There is high value placed on the ability to teach.

So ****ed that Walker is out. Now I have to deal with Baker who sucks and I have DJ Moore as my WR2 for fantasy football (and Mike Evans is on a bye week). I guess I should expect the L this week.

I think you get something like $12k per week as a non-veteran member of a practice squad. So it's obviously not 53 man roster type of money but it ain't bad either. Glad for any opportunity the kid gets as he's a class act.
