While it sounds like we are very talented ranked #13 most of the highly ranked guys are skill players. We have not loaded up on highly rated DL or OL and the ones we did we have either not developed or missed on there evaluation.Miami current roster ranks 13th NATIONALLY. 2nd in Acc behind Clemson.

Linebackers are an easy fix, offensive line, not so muchWe don't have the talent where it really counts. For instance our offensive line and our linebackers. Those groups don't have a lot of talent.
I agree and yet the teams we are playing are also dropping passes and missing wide open guys. Point is, the talent gap isn't really that bigI agree with a lot here man. It seems we are cursed. Guys dropping int's and easy passes. year after year too. That's not on the coaches but overall the product stinks more from coaching issues than players. But that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.
and Clemson does too. they’re ranked 4th. Also recruiting ranking s are not always Correct and without a sure fire first rd qb there, after having one the last 7 years, he’s exposed. Dabo has brought Clemson as far as he can and made them relevant but he’s not a hc. He should be a fkn pastor.Miami current roster ranks 13th NATIONALLY. 2nd in Acc behind Clemson.

If a 5 star changes from offense to defense his final year after week 3 and they have been average the whole time here then that’s on coaching? idk of any coach who could make Pope, Wiggins and Mallory catch the ball? They should have switched him after 2019 season to defense or told him to go in portal.Question for the op. If your 4 stars due to lack of good coaching do not develope or regress do we really have better talent than schools that develope their 3 stars
Well said, brother!! Well said, thank you!!!Kam Kinchens is a high four star kid. Ball hit him directly in the hands for a pick on the first drive, dropped, UVA scores.
Borregales is the #1 kicking recruit in the country. Doinks a chip shot off the upright for a loss.
I'm not saying these kids stink, or they won't be good, or any of that. Just pointing out that you guys thinking this is 100% because of coaching are taking the easy way out. Kids are in position to make plays. They don't make them. That's not coaching, it's....something else. I'm honestly convinced this program is cursed. It's the only thing that makes sense. How does that ball go RIGHT THROUGH Marcus Clarke's hands and not only is it not an INT, but it's a TD to a kid with his facemask in the grass. What in the absolute fvck?
Anyway, this is a mess from top to bottom. We all know that, and we know Manny is a dead man walking. As he should be, he's the head of the snake and when it goes bad, he's the one who has to go. But there are a LOT of plays out there that are not made by kids who are in perfect position to make them. They just don't. I can't explain it. It's not Stephen Field's fault that a ball hits Will Mallory directly between the 8 and 5 in the middle of his chest for a 14-3 lead and he drops it. It's just not. That's not coaching. That kid was recruited by 30 top programs, and on the NFL's radar before the season. Now, all of a sudden, he can't catch Covid in a New York nursing home. It makes absolutely no sense to me how this program can ALWAYS take one step forward, two steps back. Every single time. There was not a single nanosecond that I thought Borregales would make that kick. Not for an instant. Why? Why am I so goddammed calloused that I expect failure at every single turn. My wife yelled at me during the game because she says I laugh when bad things happen. I dead-*** do not even realize I do it. I ******* laugh when we drop passes or miss field goals or drop interceptions, and it's involuntary. That's how broken we all are mentally watching this bull**** year after year. It's honestly comical how often we **** up that it makes me chuckle when it happens, over and over.
So yeah, we need a new coach. Yeah, Mario would be a godsend. But this "13th best roster" **** is for the birds. Bubba Bolden makes up a big chunk of that ranking. Back to back plays in week 1, he has an INT go through his hands (in perfect position) and completely whiffs on a 6 foot freshman QB on a nicely designed safety blitz that got home. Manny's fault? Nope. You're a borderline 5-star player on this supposed 13th ranked roster. Go make a ******* play.

I'd love to see a before and after side by side photo of his grin. I missed itDid you guys see how fast Manny’s face went from a silly grin to a complete frown when that kick hit the upright vs UVA?
That’s the exact same amount of time it would take for a proven P5 head coach to turn this thing around.
Don't tell me about recruit rankings, what I know is our OL is A##. Our DL is not much to brag about. Give me the rankings of the Line-of-Scrimmage. I'm sure we would come in near the bottom.Miami current roster ranks 13th NATIONALLY. 2nd in Acc behind Clemson.

what are you talking about? they competed fine with UVALol, they don't have the talent to compete with awful teams like UVA
cager basically put up the same numbers at UGA that he did hereI agree with mostly everything you said, but there is something to be said about coaching. I can pretty much guarantee our players go to another school and light it up. I cant think of any good examples, so maybe Cager. He was basically the father of Wiggins and Pope. But he went to Georgia and started doing very well. I believe he was their #1 or #2 WR that year.
The kids DO just need to go out there and make a **** play. But let's say if we're struggling with catching the ball, is it because the talent is trash and are headcases and can't catch or is it because Manuelita Diaz-Canel Come Pinga Jr doesn't have them practicing the right things or often enough. If they are out there singing kumbaya my lord, kumbaya and going over their civics lessons at Top Golf instead of doing Oklahoma drills and putting jugs machines into each players dorm rooms, what would you expect the outcome to be? If you don't use it, you lose it. That can be said for anything, including football skills.
Mallory has been such a let down. I thought he had a higher ceiling than B Jordan. Don't know what the **** is up there. But I'm with others that think he should sit until he starts working his way back to form (if ever).
I'm with you though. The whole thing where we can predict what is about to happen next has got us deluded and literally losing it mentally as fans. The safety was predictable, the missed FG was predictable.
I think we all expect failure at every turn. It's honestly depressing. The '21 class definitely doesn't deserve that.
