Yup, I heard the exact same thing. You see, we were both in line at McD's when DJ's dog spoke with that info.

He asked us to keep it confidential. Blabber mouth OP couldn't hold back!

 
No one knows a thing yet. Things are very tight lipped. It appears clear that Butch will be considered and there has been tremendous public support in his favor.That has been stated by Blake James. Outside of that nothing is known yet. So all the rumors are just that.The UCF job is open so coaches seen in Florida could be interested in that position .too. So these sightings of coaches could mean anything.

Richt is interesting but why hasn't he had success at UGA ? He has the talent to win. I like him as a coach I just don't see why he would be better then Butch.
Tubbs is stomping people in a less talented AAC, maybe Richt can do it in the ACC.
Still prefer Butch over any candidate
 
All we need is a real head coach that's all Golden Shannon Coker all not real head coaches but Herman is my leading candidate, I would be fine with Butch, Richt, Pagano, and anybody who has an authentic head coach type of feel
 
I don't how he is the front runner. Based on what? Regardless, he has done well in the SEC but has under achieved with all that talent. No thank you.

Jumbo Fisher isn't a great coach. Cutcliffe & Narduzzi are the top coaches in the ACC.
 
I think richt would be a failure here. He's been used to being the top recruiting dog in the state and has the Georgia booster$ behind him. Whenever he wanted to poach a kid from sofla like sony, he knew how to get around the $ystem. He won't have any of those things at his disposal as coach here at um. I think it would be hard to go from the sec to Miami just for that reason alonhe

I think the current Admin is looking for a 'safe' hire. They need to appease the fans, and bring in a name. They also want to keep it in the family. Richt is all of those things. Lets look at it...

As fans we think Butch is a safe hire, but he definitely brings some baggage, lets not forget the whole Shapiro thing started under his watch.(I think) And he is a suspect gamely coach. We did fly a banner for him as well. And he didn't exactly ever out coach teams, he just has an elite eye for talent and the ability to develop that talent.

Herman: is getting a LOT of national attention and he will get a LOT of offers. Not sure the Admin wants a public bidding war for their next coach. If nothing else than the fear of losing a public battle for your next coach looks really really bad for a fractured fan base, and on going recruiting battles.

Apparently Fuente is not a candidate.

Mario or Schiano: Seems like no one locally wants them or thinks that they would automatically do well down here. Mario may recruit well but no one thinks he is a homerun hire as far as a coach. Schiano is a prick and I do not think he would fit well recruiting the area that he lives in. His style would not do well with the locals.

So really, the idea of Richt makes sense and may not be a terrible hire. He has shown he is willing to fire coordinators if/when necessary. He is fairly successful in a very tough conference. He recruits the sofla area fairly well from Ga. Surround him with + level coordinators and a great recruiting coordinator, like maybe Ice or Mario and I think he would be a great hire. I would even offer Coley a job as qb coach, unless Dorsey wants the job.
 
Richt would be a good hire if Butch wasn't so readily available. I put him about 4th on my list, 100 spots north of Crystalballz
