Culture question

This team doesn’t quit. That’s a trait that’s not easy to instill in a large group of 18-22 year olds. That’s a Mario thing. You have to give him credit for that.

You also have to give credit to Mario and his staff for letting teams hang around when they have no business being on the same field as their team.

It’s a real give and take every Saturday.
So ACC teams have no business being on the same field as us?

Did you just wake up from a 20 year coma?

Man the offense put the defense in tough spots again and the defense just kept going back out there and yeah they let up some yards between the 20’s but they bowed up in the red zone. That’s kinda what modern football is about. Unless you’re Michigan stealing signs

1) Name your desired OC;
2) Tell me about how great our TEs are, and exactly how they should be used;
3) When a defense drops into zone, how do you propose we get "creative," in different ways than yesterday;
4) What would you have done differently than Guidry did?
1. Prior to hiring Dawson i like the guy from Wake.
2. I don’t know what our TEs can do because of how infrequent we use them. What I can tell you is that Williams, Arroyo, and Skinner are far more talented and higher ranked than Clive Walford, Chris Herndon, David Njoku, and Brevin Jordan.
3. Pre snap motion to help out TVD would be a start.
4. Be prepared against absolute trash of a team who lost to 2 FCS programs.

Incredibly horrid take. Jesus. Lol
:ohlord: well I wouldn't say horrid it's all about perspective. Mario is getting a muuuuuuch longer leash on this board than other coaches have in the past. Other coaches have been blasted for a lot less

well get ready for another dog fight.. the week before playing undefeated FSU we're playing @ NC state. hopefully the players aren't looking ahead and don't come out flat

let's just hope we can escape this coming weekend

Another gritty win by the Canes. If we are being honest, how many of us thought we would win both of the last two games going into the 4th? I did not. That is because history has shown that the Canes take the ball and go home in these types of situations. Honestly I am still surprised we won yesterday. That’s just a game we are used to losing. So it begs the question, has Mario truly turned the culture around and taught these guys how to win? Now let’s not get this confused with saying Mario is a great game day coach. He is average at best. And now we have concern he is implementing bro ball into the offense. But outside of that, this is a tough hard nosed team. We are bruised and battered, but we keep fighting to the whistle every play. I like what I am seeing. Definitely things on offense need to be improved. In my mind we have a winning culture in place. Curious on your thoughts. I’m
Good post i agree about the culture change. Without a cane runaway performance and mistakes the team kept it together and found a way to win. I thought like you mentioned what we have witnessed in the past I didn’t think we win yesterday 3specially coming off an emotional ot win against Clemson. I like what I am seeing going forward. No matter the coach there will always be bashing here.

I’m the one yesterday who said 20+ times we aren’t a better team than UVA and GT. More talented? Yes. But not “better.”

My statement was a general one about Mario.

If there’s one thing this team should never do is look ahead cause it’s proven time and again there is no easy win on the schedule not named UM of O or BC

Did they really ? UVA had constant long drives on our d, converting long third downs at a high rate, missing tackles and had their way causing mismatches. The only real bright spots was the pick 6 and Bain but other than they were **** near as bad. Third down d is getting to be atrocious. The o’s abysmal performance puts cologne on the D’s stinkfest.

It is year 2 and anyone who thinks collectively this team is worse is smoking crack rocks.
Worse than last year of course not. I don't think anyone is saying that. But remember Manny went 8-2 in the regular season his second year with 2 less games

Agreed but 3 is better than 7 and they executed that a few times.

We've had 15 yrs of seizing the momentum in a game only to have the D **** down its own leg and give up scores/momentum.
