How do our local insiders compare the national "experts" when it comes to predicting where Miami targets end up? We're about to find out

Criteria for the predictions:

  1. Multiple predictions can't include the same commit but with different time durations. If that happens, its a push.
  2. If there are conflicting predictions and the last prediction happens at least 48 hours prior to the commitment, it will be ruled a Push if the last prediction is correct. Otherwise, its a miss.
  3. Changing a prediction within 24 hours of a commit will be considered a 2x miss.
  4. Changing a prediction 10 minutes before a commit will be considered a 4x miss
  5. Changing a prediction AFTER a commit will be considered a 8x miss.

Dong is batting like 40% if he didn’t change his picks last second and is Gaby really batting that high? He did put his pick in 10 minutes before yesterday so that doesn’t count.

I missed Gaby's pick. If it put it in before the decision was public, it should count.

I think there should be a rule that you have to put your pick in 12 hours before the announcement. If you wait until the last minute and follow suit like everyone else did then that shouldn’t count. Like Dong put his pick and he was obviously wrong and flipped last second.

Kind of get the feeling that Gaby works with staff on his and waits for the official nod of approval.

I don't see an official pick from Gaby either on his twitter feed or on the 247 site. Where did you see it?

CIS gives Gaby a lot of grief for being very cautious with his crystal balls. However, this reticence to predict does mean Gaby's percentage (so far) is high (in the Cribby stratosphere).

He didn't put one in for Pickett. I'd guess staff tells him to leave the tightly contested ones alone.

I like that 12 hour cut off to count, otherwise its a push. What does everyone think about it?

Someone mentioned yesterday he put his pick in for LSU minutes before the announcement. It was around the same time Dong flipped his. I think originally Gaby didn’t make a pick. So I think it should be a push for him.

I never give him **** for being cautious. It’s the way he handles himself. He can’t take criticism for **** and has to argue with everyone. Isn’t criticism apart of the job?
