Crying over Spilled Milk: Gary Patterson

USCe is a jump from Memphis and is likely considering a more desirable job than Miami due to being in the SEC and getting PAID MORE MONEY.

God knows I hate the $EC with a passion but South Carolina is going to be a very desirable job. They'll pay and expectations aren't going to be immediately insane there. Not a bad spot at all for a guy looking to be a career college coach.

Folks on sec network make it sound like their facilities are awful

I've heard that too. One would think that's the easiest fix though when they have a decent gameday atmosphere and were already paying the Ol Ball Corch $4 mil per year.

Real talk......Memphis can and will match his money......Memphis matched Calipari's Kentucky offer.....lots of powerful boosters associated with Fedex, Autozone, Plough, etc..... If Fuente leaves, which is likely, it will be for football reasons. If the Miami job does open up, it will be interesting to see the interest.......and for the record, around here, the talking heads don't view South Carolina as a desirable SEC job. Now if by some chance Tennessee or Arkansas or even Vanderbilt opens up...
