Crowd this week

These are the warm up games that it would have been nice for our extremely young offense, new system, and new coaching staff to have to start the season.

Yes, but beating BCC 56-0 is meaningless.

Al Golden beat up FBS teams too.

Weve lost 2 games by a combined touchdown and everyone already quit on the team. We are 100% the worst fanbase in college football.

It crazy. We want what everyone else has but as a fan base we're not willing to do our part to make it so (except flying banners).

We're already at a disadvantage. We fans barely show, we have limited resources, don't have the big time facilities, limited booster help for football, despite having a small campus a lot of our buildings are outdated, we haven't been irrelevant in 15 years, ****, we can't even say we have great academics because it been trending downward.

THE LAST THING we need is for fans to encourage other fans to not go games then turn around and b*tch about a cheap hire. What top tier HC is going to want to come here given everything I just stated above. NO ONE. The only thing that is keeping us from become Minnesota is the recruiting area, but sure, lets scare these impressible 18 Yr Old recruits away by showing them empty stadiums on their official visits then they go to LSU and see 90k strong then wish they'd tear their ACL because they don't like what they saw.

THIS FAN BASE IS UN-F*CKING-BELIEVABLE

It really is way too early for this crap. We lost 2 out of the gate. We're all upset because our kool-aid mustaches haven't even dried up yet and we're already looking bad but ****...it's too early for THIS

Go root for the team..I PROMISE it won't be as scary as FSU v UL Monroe :dispirited: . The boys will get a win, we can actually drink beer on a Saturday while in the win column and the young guys can get reps.

Since you've been watching since 2003, I think I have plenty of years on you.
Me and The U....BBA class of '87. MBA '90. My 1st games, Kelly was the QB. Season tickets for 31 years. All home games since then.
Hey, I'm sure we both love and want the canes to be on top. But it was never going to happen this year and I thought they could win 11.
But I've seen to many fans get ****** with 17- 21 year olds.
Like another guy said. If you're a Canes fan you're not leaving. Peace
Let me clarify something, I’ve been a season ticket holder since 2003 when I could afford it. I’ve been a Canes fan since I can remember which I’m not going to get into a who’s Johnson is longer here but just know I’ve been a loyal passionate fan for a long long time. The energy that I put into supporting this program through the years has not been reciprocated by the University. They continue to hire first year head coaches because that is the cheap way to do things, even though it hasn’t worked 4 out of the last 5 times we’ve hired a coach, they continue to do so and yet achieve the same results. I will no longer support this trend in terms of giving me money towards something that I no longer enjoy ( which is losing ). This program just lost to a program that is known for basketball, had only 2 wins last year and has a coach that was out of coaching for 3/4 seasons. Our coach is a defensive minded guy but could not come up with a game plan to make a true freshman’s night miserable and a over hyped QB at UF. His team instead after 2 weeks of practice came out flat. If by seeing the same story unfolding again makes me a “ bad fan” then so be it, I like to think of it as fool me once shame on your fool me 15 times shame on me. And I think we’re all on the same boat when it comes to which how many times we’ve been fooled.

Either way I will be rooting for these guys all year, but I will no longer give my hard earned money to a product that has been the same for the past decade and a half with hopes of a past resurgence. If you wish to, then good for you I wish you luck on your journey. As for me, if things don’t turn around this season, I’m done. Nothing but watching games on TV for me moving forward.

Worse. Fanbase. Ever.

Y'all out here posting screenshots of FSU/UF empty stadiums then you try to encourage people to not go to the game then y'all want the school to pay 7 million for a Urban Meyer type coach. Where do you think they get most of their football money from.. UM will invest as much as the fans invest.
Good post

Then find a new team if you've reached that point.

There is nothing "blind" about supporting a team in it's 3rd game of the season with a new staff and tons of young players. They haven't played to expectations yet, but they have shown signs of development.

Funny how our fans ***** and moan about other fanbases mocking our lack of loyalty and our empty stadiums.....and here are some of our "fans" hoping other fans don't support the team.

3rd game? Try 200 games of **** on the field .
You newbie fans don’t know any better , but all the old heads have had enough.

Comical that you would judge "newbie" fans for being loyal, having only seen the bad times.

But you're such a jaded veteran having seen us win titles. Give me a break.

I will be there as always, and fully expect to see 14-17 other people in the stadium.

I hope they keep concessions open.

Yeah and of course predictably calling for everyone from the practice field groundskeeper all the way on up to the university president to be fired. Probably want to fire the barista at the library Starbucks too.

I will be at the game, as always. I'm actually looking forward to watching JW in person, and hopefully also watch the offense continue to improve, develop good habits and start to gel. If this team can figure out some consistency on offense (and help cover for the sometimes shaky defense), it has a chance to win the rest of its games.
Yeah I’ll be there and I’m also excited about seeing JW in person.

Hence....warm up games. My point is it's nice to start a season with what are essentially practice games in order to give the young players a chance to find their groove.
Remember when we use to say we'd play anyone, anywhere, anytime? Now we need division 2 schools to get wins.

No disagreement. I would only be concerned about injuries. I recall Stephen Morris rolling an ankle in a season-opening game against a cupcake opponent. He was 'off' his game most of the season.

The porsters represent a small percentage of the crowd. People mainly go for the event but for the event to mean something the team has to be winning. The first game is a sort of abberation where many will go for "opening day". So over 30K for sure

@1hurricane dont get too hyped. Jarrens the goods but seeing the game and jarren in person will frustrate you even more. I was at the first 2 games and it is actually frustrating watching him. You dont see the whole picture on the tv. He doesnt see guys who are wide open and when he has 10 yards of open field running room he chooses not to run. Example was
The 2 point try vs unc. Dude just had to walk into the endzone but he paused and had his mind made up that he was gonna throw it. Thomas was open several times as was harley and jarren just didnt see them or chose not to throw to them. Very frustrating.

Yeah I had friends at the UF game that said the same thing. Told me JT was open the whole game. I don’t think he trusts our Oline
