He couldn't have run out the clock at Oregon. He could've gotten close, but it was not victory formation time. Stanford still had 1 timeout left.

The one at Miami was 5000000000000000 times worse. The game was literally over. It was not in 2018. If they take 3 knees, they'd still have had to punt with about 15 seconds left, or so. Obviously way better than fumbling, but it wasn't auto victory formation. The GT game was. Far, far more inexcusable.
