Moving an elderly parent across the country, away from their friends AND their doctor is a nightmare. It NEVER goes well because its not something they're doing by choice. She'll get lost on the way to the Dr. Odds are she'll say she doesn't like the new Dr anyway (even if she really does). She won't know anybody in Oregon, which will make it even worse.

Idk if it'll influence Mario one way or the other. But if he's flying across the country for a one day trip to see his sick mother, I'd say yeah, its a factor. A major one.

i said the same thing a week ago. and to boot you'd be moving her out a largely Cuban American community where she has been living for 60 years to Eugene Oregon? GTFOH.

As I've explained to y'all since Mandy signed here there has been no majority. There has been a divided room. I explained that to y'all this year again how we needed a real ****show to ensure he would be gone. From my understanding if it wasn't for Carol and for mas (along with dimare and Stu) we would certainly have him back. But Carol got all her backers to pull support and ensure funds. Two days later Blake was fired and lawyers were sent out to negotiate and arrange buyouts. There's a small percentage of the old Gaurd who has no interest in seeing a coaching change. They've been feeding info to the media to make it look like we're still lost and dissuade any coach worth his grain and ad from wanting to come here. My understanding is that worked to an extent with jurich because of his background and attaching ourselves to someone so controversial. It's a joke but is what it is. Far as ad goes I know a few names we have interviewed but honestly it's nothing but a guess as to which one we prefer because it's a decision that will be made by majority vote. From the names I've heard I'm not concerned except with one. Regardless something's are simply meant for patience. The universities pace and y'all's ain't supposed to be the same. We've lost coaches before who y'all would've loved over impatience and leaks. We've had **** near 20 years of ****. What's one more week. Tie y'all's nuts and grab a Snickers. You'll be good when it's announced. Besides that only thing I can tell you is alot of people even on here who pass themselves off as canes fans simply want to see us fail and join in their misery. It's one thing to be sickened by what we've become over these last years it's a whole nother to **** on the process and due dillegence necessary to correct it...

But if we have all this apparently worked out and no AD yet, it is just screaming that the AD is another BOT puppet that will stick longer than he should so egos do not get bruised. What qualified AD walks into a place where the BOT just committed 5-7 years to a HC that the AD had no input. Unless some AD already told them Mario would be my #1 guy if hired, it just seems *** backwards.

I really just don't get what the **** is separating the BOT/people in power so much. It seems like it must entirely be people who don't give a **** what direction this program as a whole goes arguing with people who actually do care because they don't want to lose their political power. Like seriously if this is all about having multiple clear national top options and they are arguing about which is best (but are all unanimously committed to extra funding and pushing for excellence) that would be one thing. But from the outside it just seems like a bunch of BS. Like at the end of the day I really don't get why any of these people would be against firing Blake James AND Diaz for clear cut upgrades especially if there are specific donors willing to put in tens of millions to see this program rise to the top nationally

If there’s only a small percentage of the old guard who doesn’t want a coaching change , how is there “no majority” ? Wouldn’t that mean there’s a large percentage (majority) that DOES want a coaching change ?

It just seems like yal are purposefully being fed bad info . A few days ago you were essentially saying it would be Jurich, Zo , and Mario . Now today it comes out that Jurich wasn’t even interviewed , and you’re saying they’re going to vote on the others they’ve interviewed ?
