Here is a note from barry jackson and it's similar to what pete said.

*Cristobal is a polarizing candidate among some Trustees – his ability to recruit South Florida is attractive but there’s concern about how his tenure ended at FIU (3-9, and 27-47 overall).

The coach will likely be chud or schiano in my opinion.

It's not but nobody knows ****. Everybody will find out the real candidates when interviews kick off.
 
Of course he's not. I'm getting the feeling from the buzz that we are going to hit an absolute home run and that eliminates Christobsl and Chud and probably Butch and Schiano all plan B candidates.

Yeah, I think the BoT finally understands that they have to give us something good or we are done. We have flown banners at every single game, home and away, which has never been done in the history of organized sports. They know **** well what we want, it is just taking a few of the butthurt members to come to terms with it. Butch is coming people. Butch is coming. If he isn't, it's going to have to be someone special or there will be torches and pitchforks next.

disagree. i dont think schiano would have us competing every year for an NC but he would be consistent. 9-10 games a year.

How does that make any sense for UM? We won 9 games with Golden and Randy, and nobody gave a ****. This city doesn't put up with just being 9-10 win type of team. Also, Coker was getting us 9-10, every year, except for the one where he was fired.

I am going with a Dark Horse and I'm sticking to it ( HUE JACKSON ) OC of my Cincinnati Bengals ....... hot topic on sports talk shows last week before Golden got canned, has died down this week but Pittsburgh game kind of killed that

Again these moron trustees think recruiting is the most important thing.

This is why we need a REAL athletic director, not some hermaphrodite ticket salesman.

When you sit back and think of everything else this program has been though over the past 12 years and how this BOT has contributed to our malaise you would think that they would be focused on finally making a great hire. Until Butch, or Tom Herman or anyone capable of energizing this fan base is officially introduced as our head coach, I will continue to assume that this administration will ***** it all up somehow.

Having said that, there is a feeling that the BOT have finally awakened to the fact that we will not put up with anymore BS and have a sense of focus and urgency regarding this hire. I still find it very difficult to be confident that they will get it right. One more thing. If they actually hire Butch, I will have become a huge fan of President Frenk.
