Tucker had top 5 defenses with the jags and did good with cleveland defense when he took over it. He had one bad year with a bears d that didn't have any talent. That guy ***** on d'onofrio.

it will excite recruits and coaches in SoFla

he was recruiter of the year last year and everyone down there loves him..I am not advocating for him as coach but that much is clear for SoFla

“Its hard to imagine that Mario Cristobal doesn’t get a great look at it. Miami isn’t a learn as you go type of job. The U needs a leader. We suspect the next head coach will be a current or former head coach with significant ties to the area. The next head coach needs not only to recruit locally; but has to understand the local “politics.” The U doesn’t have unlimited financial resources; but if the next head coach can get things rolling, the kindle is ready to burn. Strike a match and bring the good times back to the U!”

Sources in the profession tell us coaches have been letting Cristobal know that if he gets the job, they want in on his staff.

I'm sure Miami has talked to multiple coaches already so that can be said about others as well. I'm going to wait for canesinsight to report on coaching situations because they usually are the first to know out of the reporters

this will not be good for the BOTS if they do. They should just fold the program if they hire him because nobody is going to buy into this weak bs. I would hope banners fly from day one he gets hired

Again, I have zero problem with the move as long as they pay him at or less what Golden was making and they hire beyond stellar coordinators at the top of the pay scale. We all know that will never happen. They will overpay Mario for what, if anything, that he has done to this point, and remain economical on coordinators.

I will be happy as **** to watch the recruiting float we will get, similar to Shannon's first year or 2, and then the pathetic order will be restored as recruits realize the guy isn't quite sure what to do with them once they are on campus.

Lol at everyone freaking out. Mario Cristobal will not be hired as the HC. They spent $7 mil to get rid of golden they're not gonna hire some clown as the head coach. My guess the finalists will be Butch, Herman, Strong and Chud
 
The only bad thing that I see about Mario is that he is an unproven winner, I think if he's hired he'd have to come in and win right away and I mean like 10 games.
 
For whatever it's worth...Joe Rose said this morning that he's heard from his sources that Cristobal has not been contacted by Miami.

If it's Cristobal and retains Coley...I'm done.

I also think its early in the search and these reports should be taken with a grain of salt

I think anybody with a clue knew he was at least going to get a phone call about the job....who knows how much further it will go
