Mario's redshirt freshman second STRING QB is just as good as Herbert. And it's not like Herbert was a 5 star coming outta high school either, plus he's been with Taggart and Mario 3 of his 4 years in Eugene.
He was recruited by Scott Frost, not Mario or Willie. Also what was Mario record first year at Oregon 9-4?

What difference does it make who recruited him? Duke Johnson committed under Randy, but did he play for Randy? And I love how you cracking on a 1st year 9-4 record like that's a bad thing, especially when we're currently sitting at 6-4 with waaaaay more talent than Oregon! Lol

Team is trending up so as much as we **** on the staff when they are trending down lets root for and enjoy progress and steps toward getting back to the top of the ACC division.
The coaching what ifs can take a back seat for now.

We actually have gotten outgained in 2 of our wins in the 3 game winning streak. Including by over 100 yards vs Pitt. We aren’t trending up.

We’re still playing badly. Manny still sucks, his staff still sucks, and we’ll be stuck with him through the 2022 season.

Mario just won his division in just his second year, plus he hasn't been a coach for 45 years like Butch...
True, but Butch used that 45 years to establish a successful track record at every level he was involved. Meanwhile, this has been Mario's first success, with a Heisman type QB and down years for PAC 10 powers.

Larry Coker was 35-3, with a national championship, two bowl wins, and three top 5 recruiting classes in his first three years as a head coach. Was that indicative of continued success?

Was Butch really successful at UNC? He finished exactly .500 in the ACC, just like Larry Fedora, who got fired.

fedora actually had better success there as he at least went to the ACCCG with a top 10 ranked team at his peak

Jarren threw 6 TD passes but hey let’s only talk negative. Sad life.

This is Mario's second job, and 7th year as a coach overall. It's a reason Mario is the coach at one of the top programs in the country and Butch is Kiffin's new whipping toy!
