Being a conservative person (more than just political) and not affiliated with a party, I can’t say for sure that Rs are “infested” with white supremacists and not sympathetic to AA. But u do know that the Democratic Party was the party of slavery and the KKK right? Things have changed of course, but although there may be some white supremacy in the R party… it’s nothing like what’s being portrayed by Biden and MSM. If I were to take a guess, the number of Rs that are white supremacists are probably less than 5% of the party… and that’s probably high. I mean, u know that there are black republicans right? And there’s probably more black conservatives now than ever.

Can we please dispel with this notion? It's a disingenuous claim and lacks a basic understanding of the parties back then.

I'm surprised you didn't pull out the "I have black friend" comment.

Did I say something factually incorrect? And why would I need to say that?

Stop it....I'm no Democrat, but when MLK ( a republican) was jailed....not ONE republican came to his aid.....It was Robert Kennedy who had him freed.
That’s kinda what I’m getting at though. The demographics of the parties change over time. Both parties are just trying to do whatever to get votes

I bet in the future, the democrats will be the party of closed borders like the republicans are now

**** changes

Yes and no and I think you know it, but it’s irrelevant. It’s kind of like saying that a team was leading after 3 quarters but lost the game. then spend the following week saying “hey, we were winning after 3 quarters, guys!”

Before #FakeNews there was #FakeHistory... don't let anyone sell you on the 'switch' lol. Democrats are the party of segregation, KKK and slavery, make them own it. The democratic party was buying minority votes LONG before any purported 'switch', and almost all the 'dixiecrats' remained in the party after the purported 'switch'.

The truth is ideological conservatives left the Democrat party because it was moving left towards socialism and authoritarianism - not because of racism.

I actually like using that analogy… but it seems it’s more like two teams making trades and bringing up players from the minors.

I agree that things changed. But what happened in the past will always be.

Donald Trump increased his percentage of the black vote and appealed to them (maybe because of historical low unemployment and his funding of HBCUs).

Now obviously the Rs still have a small portion of support with AAs, but to say they are infested with white supremacists and being unsympathetic is a little bit off.

Now maybe u meant it more in the unsympathetic category than white supremacy… which I would agree would be more likely.

But I appreciate the convo and apologize if I misunderstood what u were saying, but feel u are misrepresenting things a bit. I’d welcome recent examples to prove my impression wrong though.

Enjoy your evening
Kinda like Colin Kaepernick clearly stating his protest was not against Police, but against Police Violence. Most of America refused or flat out didn't care because the person bringing attention was Black. Let me say it again more loudly. I do not lump all White people or Republicans as being racist or Supremist. I will say that, while you say infested is too strong, I do know people with that mind set have a huge influence on Republican policies. I also know that following the Civil War, Blacks made up a big portion of the Southern States (those who fought to preserve Slavery and was against a United States) Republican Party during Reconstruction. What you fail to mention, probably because of lack of knowledge or placating to another racist policy of shaming, is that the Southern candidate won the Presidency, but traded it for cancelling the terms set by Reconstruction. That resulted in many of the Black Republicans being cast out, beaten and killed. They then quickly made laws that made it a crime to be unemployed and condemned those Hundreds of Thousands of freed people back into organized Slavery camps, Lynching Laws, Jim Crow laws and a no representation criminal and legislative system.

I'm not blind that a small percentage of Blacks are Republican and that's their right. I also know that even when they too were subjects to being owned and slaves themselves, a small percentage of Blacks sided with Master because they believed non logical thought it made them better than field N and would give them a better life. This mentality is pervasive even today.

A few weeks ago I was coming along Bayshore Drive up and under the Convention Center. I was shocked and highly offended to see a large group of Nassi supporters parading about the Center in support of Ronnie DeSatinis. I did not see or hear this on any of the networks you despise or don't share your views. I witnessed those White Power Supremist right there in my city in 2022. Every time I see American citizens promote the ideas of Nassism, I think back to all the American, European, Russian, Jews and other White people who died to exterminate the vilest ideas of Humans. I wonder why all Americans don't squash them? What offended me even more is that DeSantanis was aware of their presence, but when questioned for statement, he said it was the liberal media trying to connect him to Nassi supporters and never in any way denounced them.

Lastly, when you got roaches and rats in your house, you may not call it an infestation, but you **** sure take every action to rid your home of these disease carrying pests to protect your home (America) and family (all Citizens). If not, then you share their views and accept living with them. No ifs ands or buts!

It's akin to the future Democratic party changing its name to the Federalist party and says "hey, we are the party of George Washington" but has a completely different platform. One has nothing to do with the other despite having the same name. It's pointless to bring it up.

First part true Dems were segregation, kkk ect, but the big shift to Republican came when President Johnson, I believe, supported Civil Rights legislation in opposition to Southern Whites. You a **** liar suggesting it was because of Socialism or Authoritarianism. Those terms only became the slogans of the Republican party post Reagan. The only Person to attempt making American Government becoming Authoritative is Donnie Chump.

The “switch” is taught in schools but is never explained. One thing you’ll never hear from anybody is the real truth. Opposing RvW did more for Republicans to gain southern voters (socially conservative) and flip “Dixiecrats” than anything racial.

The entire idea of getting more southern votes was based around State’s Rights.

How many of these cities ban concealed carry? There are 20 million gun sales A YEAR in america. It's not getting safer toots.

This is a very interesting graph.....I guess in Miami we're more prone to get out of our cars and yell at each other rather than just dumping rounds through windshields. I would say miami "feels" like one of the most hostile cities in america because people visually get angry at you, but statistically it doesn't even crack the list in terms of violence.
I've also always said and belived that the majority of the crime that happens in miami or houston you don't hear about. It isnt reported because it's done by professionals, so while we could have similar or even more crime than some of these cities listed, they're just properly disposing of bodies and evidence rather than your everyday gang banger hashing it out on the streets.

I get and agree with your first part about Kapernick… but dude was trash and he played the victim. That right there is enough to say *** him for playing the victim card when he wasn’t a good quarterback

But the fake N@zi’s that democrats place outside TPUSA and DeSantis and the Lincoln Project was responsible for planting them at Youngkin’s campaign rally are just that. They aren’t real N@zi’s … u know that right?!? I mean I hope u do at least, because it’s obvious what the left is trying to do. There is a fake narrative about white supremacy in the R party that is some sort of domestic terrorist threat (which has proven to be false and Mayorkas even admitted it during a senate hearing). The fact is that liberal groups are organizing these at R political events to try to get air play or get them to question whomever (like DeSantis in your example). Why would DeSantis have denounce something that was fake. Maybe u can link me to this, but if they aren’t real N@zi’s (which is 99% the case), why do u need to denounce it if it’s fake? You call it fake and move on, like it seems u said.

I think the bigger thing here is how appalling it is that the left’s strategy is to smear R candidates and link them to a fake narrative like white supremacy and N@zi’s. I think it should be condemned on both sides what is taking place. And maybe it’s not 100% associated with a certain candidate… but it’s definitely democratic sponsored events of organizing these fake white supremacy protests or rallies or whatever they are. Absolutely appalling and I really hope u are not falling for the banana in the tailpipe… cause that’s their objective

As far as black conservatives go… I disagree 100% that they are just siding with their Master. The fact is that the R party’s principles of conservatism and family values and law and order etc etc (NOT white supremacy… which is laughable) are drawing black conservatives to the party… just like it’s drawing HUGE amounts of Hispanics to the R party. It’s about aligning of the personal values to the parties values.

And lastly… I do agree with u about an infestation. U do want to root it out like termites in your house. The R party still does have some bad actors in their party (as does every party). I hope all evil actors (especially white supremacy aligned) are rooted out of society all together, not just in the R party. There’s no place in society for any type of racism. Good people are good people… and bad people are bad people… regardless of skin color, religion or other

My point was to say the demographics of the parties change over time… just like there is a greater percentage of blacks and especially Hispanics moving to the R party recently.

I thought I made that clear. U may think it’s pointless, but it’s exactly the point I was trying to make

FIFY!!

p.s. Sorry AU, was just too easy!!!
