We roll, nuff said 32-21
Yes but do you realize that the 2005 defense literally smothered that VT offense? Our front 4 dominated that game and we played very aggressively on defense. We also had one of the most underrated CB tandems in UM history in Kelly"The Club" Jennings and Marcus"The Pad" Maxey. In general the 2005 defense was one of UMs best and very underrated. Our defense this year isn't at that point yet. VT had Marcus Vick at QB and some decent talent at the skill positions but nothing compared to the speed and athleticism that ATM has.The more I think about this game, the more Virginia Techl lol 2005 comes to mind. Larry Moper's ONLY signature win, IMHO.
like our playbook, hes saving it for the big gameHasn't happened since Killian, he's been saving up for something.
Will you be on the sidelines or press box wearing a head set?
Have you heard anything about them actually adding RPOs to the O? I know you said something about needing to add a way to get separation for the WR and that being a way to do it.Te’s
Jimbo throwing fire...
One thing about Max Johnson starting unlike The other two guys you’ll know exactly where he will be when you put pressure. He’s a pocket passer and with not much mobility.
Pressure him and he will make mistakes.
And you can’t let that RB ( forget his name) that runs like Usain Bolt.We have to contain him cause he gets into open space it’s 6 cause we have no one that’s gonna run him down.
Hoping for a good game.
Agreed. Same with Steele. The So Miss coach literally said he knew we'd be playing so vanilla, it's why they were confident starting the freshman. We've also blitzed like 6 times between the two games and have shown no exotic packages at all. Hard for me to believe that's how Steele will run the defense this year after seeing his past defenses over the years.I’m not a big “we’re saving the playbook guy” but if the first 2 weeks is really all we have then Gattis stinks. We had to be saving a little something.
App State depended on a crap load of third down conversions to keep drives alive. Yet they still only averaged in the 3’s ypc and scored 17 points. With all the breaks , third down conversions , dominating time of possession , they scored 17 points. They won every important stat Including turnovers, while having none. With all that the score was 17-14. We can’t depend on that and getting a horrible offensive showing by Tamu. In a game they’ll be focused and not looking past the opponent.
We must stretch the field first and foremost, or the run is out the window. Rather if it’s a te down the seam or K Smith on a go. We will have to back them off and make them respect those guys.
