Craig Kuligowski & Mark Richt | Post Camp Presser | 8.15.16

I think the guy LOVES his job, and loves job security. I don't think he's one that likes to move around a lot just for the sake of a change in title. Look at his last situation. He stayed with the same coach for how many years? Now he's with Mark Richt who has a history of being loyal to his assistant coaches. Coach Kool might just retire down here. If he really does love coaching D-linemen, and doesn't care to be a DC, where else would he want to be? He's in the Garden of Eden here.

If Diaz does well and gets a HC offer in 2-3 years Kool might be named DC.............

Could be, unless he simply wants to keep doing what he's doing. You'd think he'd have more offers already, honestly. Even NFL D-line coach would be a likelyhood. Maybe he just loves being a college D-line coach.

Nah, dude wants to be a DC. Its still one of his passions. He just wants to do it on a team of his choice on his own terms. Lucky for us, no one can meet his needs, atm. So he is fine here

Kool wants to move up the ladder. That's why I'd have a UM lifer like Kareem Brown apprenticing under him. Should have Kareem following him everywhere. Kareem should be shytting like Kool shyts.

Say what you want about Mizzou. But UM is a marquee gig, and Mizzou isn't even close. When Kool turns this previously dormant DL into fire-breathing dragons, he's going to get a shot to be a DC.

interesting lukewarm answer on Chad Thomas (especially when compared with Jackson).

His comments can be inferred a number of ways but I took from it that he thinks Chad has a long way to go, especially in the non-physical aspect of things.

Didn't hear that at all. He raved about how much better Chad is now than when he got here and how he's giving great effort and being a leader.

If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. Let's hope Mrs. Kool is absolutely loving the Miami life. And what a difference a year makes. I used to listen to AG and staph and was bewildered by some of their comments. Totally different coach speak by CMR and staff. As I've said before, I think Diaz and Kool are about to murder some ****.

I could see Diaz getting a HC gig if he produces back to back solid seasons. Something along the line of ucf, uconn, etc..

I'm not sure I understand the comparison or lack there of pertaining to R.J. and Warren Sapp?

What he is saying is that rj isnt as good as sapp but those are the type of guys he wants at that position as far as athleticism.

What he was saying is that chad is answering a lot of questions he had about him in the spring. The players and coaches have all said chad has really stepped up and is performing and has become a leader.

Kool's resume suggests he will be the next head coach of the 49ers

Hmmm, I didn't hear it that way at all but I don't have the context of the other interviews

It's hard to believe one of the best positions coach in the nation isn't being pursued by programs to be their D coordinator.

I was wondering why Kuligowski hasn't gotten a DC job myself. His resume is amazing.

Then again I can't really figure out why Shannon hasn't gotten a DC job either. (Regardless of how awful he was as head coach.)

wow Trent harris producing the most from the defensive line according to kool.. wonder if he'll be a kool special

Mrs. Kool is most likely happier than a pig in ****, he her husband most likely doubled his salary ($365k at Mizzou vs at Miami , an moved to a city with annual average daily temp of 80 degrees verses Columbia, Mo which is know for unpredictable weather. I have been to Missouri and trust me Florida is much nicer. I also think Coach Kool may be UM's future DC in training which would keep him here long term since we already know Diaz is a job hopper.
