When old pics are posted can we please get a snapshot of who they are and their contributions to the program please? There are quite a few that are posted that I don’t know who they are. I love learning about old Canes that I didn’t know.
I’m slacking today...

SI always gotta throw shade
F Sports Illustrated.....SI always gotta throw shade
Historically, this was the mood of the nation. The Miami Hurricanes were the interlopers; they did not “belong” with the blue-bloods of college football and had been a tough out for the previous 5-10 years. This SI is before the Fatigues at the Fiesta, this was after Miami went to Norman, OK, UNRANKED, and beat #3 Barry Switzer team. And then, to end the regular season, mercilessly tarred and feathered Gerry Faust in the Orange Bowl.SI always gotta throw shade
But our schedule wasn’t bad then. So why did they say it was a cream puff schedule ?Historically, this was the mood of the nation. In short(er): it really wasn’t considered shade. Miami was that good and though the world knew what was coming, they didn’t want to accept it.
They Destroyed Faust in 1985..not 1986Historically, this was the mood of the nation. Brother, I know that…Faust was destroyed the same season they beat OU in Norman and 10 months BEFORE that cover. And many in the nation couldn’t accept Miami beating OU or the defrocking of the south bend schools athletic franchise. They Destroyed Faust in 1985..not 1986
Looking back…But our schedule wasn’t bad then. So why did they say it was a cream puff schedule ?
