Could Beck perform his way into the 1st round next year?

Exactly what traits would that be? Passing accuracy? Check. Quick release? Check.pocket presence? Check. Strong arm? Check. Running ability?check.Leadership? Check. NC Cred? Check. Look I know his judgement with women is questionable but, Come on. Dude is solid🙌🏽

He needs to do more carrying this season. When he was at UGA it was in my opinion then (and it did not change because he wears O/G) that the roster carried him. Can he carry this offensive roster? He has weaknesses and is a major step below Ward MAJOR. Is he talented? Yes, but he’s a different type of qb. He’s a more rhythm qb imo, the offense has to be in rhythm. You have to get him out his comfort zone in the pocket vs Beck and you can rattle him. If I were an opposing team I would make him shuffle those feet, and that’s how you beat him. He can run but it’s not like Cam he runs in a straight line.

I always thought he was over rated but played well at UGA. He still can play well here imo. That run game has to help a lot like it did at UGa

Agreed, I felt the same at first, over rated. But, after watching a lot of UGA games( did my post grad work there. And daughter/SIL both grads, his Dad is a Big Dawg) I came to see his play differently. He played within his offense, or Bobo’s O. All ball/clock control and long drives. Mike Bobo is no Dawson.i IMHO, I think Beck will thrive in our offense and adapt to what Dawson schemes. Also, it’s not a negative that he knows how to manage the clock. At least someone on the field or sideline will have a feel for that. Anyhoo, we got the best available QB, w/a good resume Now let’s do some team building, get some familiarity and relationships and get on with it. Just sayin’

As long as the OL protects him (which they can against most teams) and a WR breaks out and becomes that guy. He can do well enough to get to the ACCC game. I think the defense will be great
 
I watched a lot of Georgia games the last few years! I was always very impressed with Beck's skillset! I don't think Geogia had the talent to win the SEC championship without Beck. He carried them over the line. With the better defense, I think we will be in the playoffs this year. Mario and the staff have really fixed the issues at the end of every year. 2025 is the year it pays off!!! GO ******" CANES!!!
 
There is no telling because the nfl is desperate for qbs but i don’t see 1st round with him at all.

Agree on most points. Couple issues that might keep NFL personnel people asleep at night. One is leadership and fitting into the locker room. It might be overblown and involve some jealousy, but Beck wasn’t a favorite of UGA teammates. He wasn’t seen as ****ey, but one player described him as “different.” The other point is NFL medical folks are sure to look at his elbow and long term future a thousand different ways before investing a 1st rd pick, a huge sum of money and their own job security.

Exactly how I felt. Watched a few games, "overrated" because I expected more from an all-world QB at Georgia . Watched more games, and realized he was lifting a poorly run offense. Suddenly realized Georgia wasn't all that He's going to thrive under Dawson, our OL and our run game.

Google just told me 36 QBs have gone in the first round over the last 10 drafts. That's 3.6 per draft. And we had only 2 this past draft so may see more taken in 2026. I think he'll be a top 5 QB when all is said and done, with a good chance to be Top 3. So my answer is "yes". We were so spoiled by a generational talent we can't rejoice in a "normal" first rounder QB when we land one.

I’m sure that Arch will go first if he has a decent season because people will fall for the last name but there isn’t another QB on this list who has done what Beck has done thus far and our system already produced a #1 overall pick.

My guess is Beck ends up a top 15 pick next NFL draft.
