Not at UM....I can't put a Guy who Spent only 2yrs at UM...Over Jerome or Sapp...in the Pros I put him over Jerome (only because of his untimely Death) but he's Neck and Neck with Sapp in the NFL....And I Love Tez....I do put him comfortably ahead of Maryland.

I don't GAF if he was only here for a week Kennedy was easily one of the best DT's ever at Miami and is on the same level as Sapp, and brown.... who cares if you'd take one over the other you can't go wrong.

Feelings of nostalgia when I think about the trio of Michael barrow.... Jessie armstead... And Darren Smith. The white mesh jerseys six packs showing spatted black cleats and the towels hanging from the waist guns out and that ****y swagger. Good times
I will love those names always no doubt, but they were backers not linemen.

In watching lots of games my two favorites were not NFL stars but were great in college, Greg Mark and Daniel Stubbs. I heard a quote from JJ that his initial roster never included Greg Mark, but come game day he'd chalk in Greg even though he was too small. I loved watching Stubbs play, I can close my eyes and see one of his plays, the opposing QB faked a run to the right and sprinted off to the left. Our whole defense went right except Stubbs, when the QB saw Stubbs flying through the air like Superman he just rolled into a ball and took the sack.

Latimer and Carter went to the same HS (Westwood) and became AAs on the DL at Miami - one year apart, I think.

We've had really good players on the inside of the DL for a long time.
Rubin Carter went to Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale.

Absolutely....But Good Lord...Those DLs from 89-92 are most Likely UMs best ever...
Taking a play off wasn't a Huge deal...
Even heard rumors that there was the same knock on Jerome Brown.

Even Shula, when asked about before the draft said, "Yeah we know the positives about Jerome, we also know the negatives...." Of course, that might be historic Dolphins anti-Huricane bias.

Greg Mark was the toughest kid pound-for-pound. When we lost Sileo on the eve of '87 season, Mark moved inside and played the entire season at DT weighing less than 240 lbs.

@caneinorlando Yep and the Canes kept scaring America for years. After The 90 Cotton Bowl all bets were off. That was the best!
Those Cane's would have cleaned up ISIS caliphate in two weeks flat. Then they would've moved onto Taliban and finished the job there.

And just imagine if they had actually been issued weapons for the job.

In this very Pic we were talking Defensive FB...for a solid hr...my Late Wife took the Pic...it was the day before the UCLA game.
He was so accommodating...and treated my Wife like Gold...View attachment 84896
You lost your wife and your daughter? So sorry to read that. Very sad. My heart goes out to you.

I didn't read your writing about that except for a post where you talked about your late daughter.

Very very sorry for your loss.
