No...but Butch coached him at Dallas...Did you Know him well ??
I know you knew more than your fair share of players. I never met him, seen him in Chicago, always seemed a good dude in interviews.No...but Butch coached him at Dallas...
Love it...but he's still a POS as a Human...
The stories I could tell you....

I’m well aware! His athleticism was unreal for a guy his size. Gino begged coach E to put him at Te for a year.
In this very Pic we were talking Defensive FB...for a solid hr...my Late Wife took the Pic...it was the day before the UCLA game.
He was so accommodating...and treated my Wife like Gold...View attachment 84896
No way on Earth do I put Vince on an All Time UM DL....
All the above had Great space eaters as well...That’s where I think the nuance of running a defense plays in. Vince is at best a distant fifth in terms of production (we agree there), but I look at any of the four above him and think, “how much better would they be playing next to that space eater?”
Big Russ was is a great dude and a very bright guy. Not sure about taking plays off but I am sure of him being a great leader of the 89-90 squads. Won the Outland, nuff said. Jimmy drafted him as the #1 pick in the entire draft. Very respected for success on and off the field. Russ was a life skills coach for the Browns for several years, saw a lot of him in Cleveland until he went back to SouthLake to spend more time with family. Really great human being.I know you knew more than your fair share of players. I never met him, seen him in Chicago, always seemed a good dude in interviews.
Absolutely....But Good Lord...Those DLs from 89-92 are most Likely UMs best ever...Big Russ was is a great dude and a very bright guy. I always thought Shane Curry was overlooked...One of my favorites...An absolute Terror...Shame how he died...over a friggin Parking Place...Shot by a 15yr old, who's uncle was arguing with Shane...Big Russ was is a great dude and a very bright guy. Unreal talent along with a will to win like no one else, tough combo to beat. The boys used to love game day, always said it was easier than going against each other all week. Those teams invented swag, no one close.Absolutely....But Good Lord...Those DLs from 89-92 are most Likely UMs best ever...
Taking a play off wasn't a Huge deal...
No question. Great player for sureI always thought Shane Curry was overlooked...One of my favorites...An absolute Terror...Shame how he died...over a friggin Parking Place...Shot by a 15yr old, who's uncle was arguing with Shane...
Cortez Kennedy was a PROBLEM!With these threads about our best players , Cortez Kernnedy what a load he was for some reason he just seems to be left out of the stud conversation , well not this time
Just figured I keep this Cane studs name alive, yes I'd put him on our all time D front seven would anyone here disagree ?
GOCANES
I don't know about inventing Swag...but they were some of my favorites...These Lunatic's invented Swag to me...When you look at a Ref on National T.V...and you respond with "We're The Boss" when asked do you elect to recieve?...and your RB looks at Boz and mouths, "I ain't Scared of you B*tch"...thats the Epitome of Swag...Unreal talent along with a will to win like no one else, tough combo to beat. Imho...Jerome invented Swag at UM....Others followed...but he was the Originator...That was hilarious
Add Rusty and KP who were both insane. God only knows how many concussions KP had. KP and The Rock were a few of the guys that didn’t leave Miami when Andrew hit. They both said it was the biggest mistake of their lives. The interior walls were shaking and they were petrified. Those two dudes were absolutely crazy.Feelings of nostalgia when I think about the trio of Michael barrow.... Jessie armstead... And Darren Smith. The white mesh jerseys six packs showing spatted black cleats and the towels hanging from the waist guns out and that ****y swagger. Good times
Medearis is without question, my favorite UM DE ever....Loved him...Add Rusty and KP who were both insane. God only knows how many concussions KP had.
