It was closer than it needed to be and we made Carr too comfortable at times. So while the crying is overblown, some of it is warranted (some of these threads would probably be better received after a couple days of celebrating first though lol)

Reasonable take. I agree that we have plenty to improve on. I just don't get how 100% of our fan base isn't celebrating the W tonight.

Heard those excuses last year then we lost to GT disappeared and after Syracuse the idiots on here acted like they knew all along

The one busted play was fluky. Tackled demonstrably better. Guys weren’t just running wide open. ND clearly built their gameplan on quick passing. When they couldn’t Mesidor and Bain flat out whooped the OL. There was also a strong pass rush without needing to blitz, leaving our weak point of the secondary on islands all the time.

Could’ve played more aggressive late but why give the chance of a deep ball if you don’t need to? It wasn’t perfect. But at some point you have to see what is in front of you and not expect the ‘85 Bears to show up.

Our pass rush during portions of the game wasn't there so that's what hurt the most in my opinion.

Seems like the game plan was to make them go the length of the field with a short passing attack and limiting the run game. It looked shaky in the 4th quarter but got the job done. We can hate them but ND is a good team too. I thought the defense looked better still a long way to go. ND would've put up 40 plus on last years D.

But the defense looked way more sound and improved overall. Something to monitor though.

Seems like it wasn’t expected at all. Even the announcers were shocked by it. I’d rather this **** get out now after a T10 win and work on fixing it now. Then lose a game at the end and ruin things.
