If u go back to the Flagg recruitment thread, I was one who was critical of the offer. I said he looked mechanic vs a natural LB at this level. However, I’ve also praised his IQ, & his IQ is what has led him to diagnose plays.

The fact is, he’s not a P5 caliber LB. He’s a G5 level player, but he gives max effort. The other fact is he played at a TX powerhouse program & I’m sure he knows what good coaching is. I can’t imagine his frustration seeing the constant lack of discipline from his collegiate coach, w/ no repercussions, coming from a winning HS program.

Tough.

Lol, Oklahoma offense this year has not been the same. Still good defense though

You were spot on.
He sucks but serviceable.
He’s not athletic enough He’ll never play on Sundays and should never be a starter here, but this is the new Miami.

He would be a good damm coach at the next level. I can see it, like a Dan Orlosky. But as a MLB in P5 CFB, nah. It is what it is, I really like him.

Attention to detail from this staff?

Just not something they believe in.

They don’t even coach up to stop commuting penalties right?

Beside the 4th and 14 play.

One play that stood out to me as further indictment of this staff.

The ball is spotted in the middle…and we run a reverse right into the arms of their best edge defender and best defender period.

They literally had one guy to account for and we are oblivious to it.

“We were very undisciplined. That’s on us,’’ Flagg said. “We know that. It’s habits that happens in practice. Coach Diaz gets on us about it all the time. Probably for the game it’s not a shocker that it happened. Again, that’s on us. We gotta do better on our end. “Coach gets on us about that all the time.We get punished for it. I mean that’s just on us, man. ...We beat ourselves.’’

Coaches needed to bench them, not make them do sprints or whatever counts as punishment.
