So what are the odds that we will keep both coordinators?

I am extermely hopeful we get Hetherman back next year. He’s a HC talent and I think he’s going to get interest sooner than later. Would love for him to be named HC in waiting, because he’s that guy.

Until about 2 games ago, I thought Dawson was gone 100 regardless. But I’ve dialed that back after seeing the shift in playcalling. But is he in line for a position like UNT? What about USF?

I think the odds are > 50/50. I don't see Hetherman jumping this year. Possibly next. Best scenario to see Dawson move on is we make the playoffs and have a run. Right now I don't see him getting the boot by Mario if we lose to Pitt or getting an offer enticing enough to leave if we win but don't make the playoffs.

Could see Dawson lobbying for both and interviewing for those openings, but I’d assume he’d be down the list for both. Hetherman is 1000% future HC material, and I’d imagine if we are fortunate enough to get him back and repeat this performance in 2026, he’d be gone in 2027. I could definitely see some G5 rolling the dice after a couple of excellent seasons here. Lets get across the finish line Saturday first though…

Hope Heatherman stays and they identify an elite DE, LB, and Nickel in the portal because he’s been an amazing teacher for these kids it seems.

Dawson I hope stays solely because Mario takes forever to hire and we need an elite portal QB immediately but this year other than his detailed press conferences I have been frustrated with this offense for most of the year.

Dawson is the only OC in 20+ (or more) here with 3 years of 30+ ppg

He's opened it up more here at the end of the year and i hope he comes back to carry the momentum into next year.
