This is funny because as soon as I read her comments, I thought of my grandmother. She would flat out tell people "y'all gettin on my nerves" while still offering them something to eat.

This is 100% on point. My grandmother would be ****ed w/all that traffic. Saying "how many times they gon come here & say the same thing? "Plus she'd feel obligated to turn on her air conditioner & run her light bill up for these coaches who aint puttin in on the light bill too? Fluck that

You guys think Grandma Cook walks around in a real big robe/moo moo thing with slippers on? I like to imagine she struggles to get up, and walks with a slight hunch, but she forces herself to get up every hour or so to stir whatever pot of food she has on the stove. Also, do you think she says "Mmhhhmmmm" a lot? I bet she comes across as mean, but it's tough love, and then at the end of the day she lets you lay your head on her chest and she says stuff like "there there child," or "free at last free at last." And when she talks to you she looks up from her glasses and points at you and says "now looka here". Oh Grandma Cook, what can't you do?
 
I'm not sure if Grams is gonna give us a football player, but she has spawned one of the better threads on this board in awhile! Moreover I'm glad our staff is worsome up around Gram's crib, cause we need dalvin's a$$ badly!
 
I dont think its an issue of "Cook has been bought", at least not yet. But I think all the signs are there that certain programs have probably made some promi$e$ that Grandma Cook finds much more favorable, and UM is obviously not in a position to do the same, for obvious reasons, thus she doesnt think Cook should go there, and is obviously against it. This stuff about the coaches "coming by too much" is bullsh*t IMO. I have no doubt she is probably sick of all the visits and recruiting in general, but the real motivation here is something else IMO.

Notice how she only seems tired of Miami coaches. She wasnt really too tired of talking to Brewster or TRob. She's fine with him going anywhere, but couldnt take a trip to Coral Gables to see what UM had to offer as a school. That says to me she has no intention of considering UM, though it does seem Dalvin is.

I have a little hope, but still dont think we get him. And I dont think its all about money. Im sure he has legit interest in FSU. Why would any recruit not right now? But in a close race like this, sometimes any little thing can make a difference.

I don't know about the visit stuff but that is what the UF 'insiders' have been reporting as well. Grandma is apparently the key and she loves T-Rob because he's from Miami and thinks he'll be a great mentor to Dalvin. They apparently speak multiple times a day. But he's unsure about UF's offense as he should be which is why he's looking to FSU. The delay in his announcement was to get a feel for who UF's new OC is gonna be. I say FSU in the end.
