Note - Not saying that Williams is trash and did not earn his position by working hard and being a good teammate, leader or lacks talent.

I was thinking about this a few weeks ago during the Bethune game. When Perry came in the offense looked different and for some reason looked better. I passed it off as garbage minutes. It looked different Mainly because Perry pushes the ball down field.

Then this Saturday, when Perry came in we started stretching the field and scoring points. We also did a lot of work out of the gun. Offense again looked like night and day. We actually were hitting big chunk plays.

Most of us read that article where Mark Ritch during his ACC network show talked about Williams before the season started. Ritch looks to have been spot on and now we probably know why he did not get minutes under Ritch. Mark stated that he was great on short and intermediate throws. Was very accurate with those throws but struggled a bit pushing the ball down field and not always knowing where to go with the ball. I guess that is why he holds the ball. Ritch also said he needed to be better in the pocket.

Puts on Tin Foil hat

Did Enos go with J Williams because he wanted to run his offense and not the preferred spread attack? And not go with the player or system that best fit our current roster?

Would Enos be that stubborn? Or Williams just out played everyone

Good question insaid the same thing in the bethune game too but then I put it on kosi already has game experience so it was nothing. I was completely wrong.

I think Enos wanted Perry but Shanny being the HC overrode him and picked JW

I was there for the Spring game. Perry and Martell both outplayed Jarren by light years and I do mean light years. I was a little stunned he won the job at the end of camp. He's ok and the other two are not saviors but I don't think he's the "best" option but given the clowns running the show, I do see their misguided logic.

Our worst Safety by talent is a starter and logs a lot of minutes. Our best defensive ends are not on the field and when they are, the inexplicably do a Dorito cover slot receiver thing. We have a FG kicker who has seemingly never seen a football. We lead the world in turnovers and penalties.

The QB pick is kind of way down the list but its glaring because its the most important position on the field. I put it down on the list because the other two might have better records, might not.

Either way, our coaches are inexperienced stubborn douchebags.

I saw Richt make those comments and he was spot on. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.

Williams accurate in the short to intermediate game.

Perry's inconsistency but ability to throw the deep ball and game experience.

Yet comments made by Enos that he would tailor the offense to whoever started is a contradiction in terms.

Well, if he has a separated shoulder we won’t see the true Williams. I know everyone either likes perry or Williams but I’m still in favor of Martell. He can run it. He may not have kosi’s Arm strength but I think he has the “IT” factor

Was Martell moved to WR to get him out of the QB equation?

I think he outplayed everyone. Perry did pretty good yesterday but he struggled with the deep passes last year too. I know your post isn’t about any of this but maybe it takes a while for the young players to scan the field and to go deep occasionally.

Well when you are down 21-28 points you better be pushing the ball down field and out of the gun. Don’t be an idiot.

Honestly, your last sentence is what disappointments me the most. Hearing Manny say he wants and aggressive offense that plays fast with a toughness and aggression while also saying the previous offense was not getting it done, made my hyped. But ****, looks like he went to the offense store and purchased the same offense and just a different company

I am in the Tate bandwagon also. Mainly because I envisioned a high paced offense. I feel bad for him if we forced him to play under center. I hope we are more open with our recruits. To be fair, maybe we were honest with what we were going to run and he wanted to come anyway. But I think Tate would have won a few games just because he would have extended plays keeping drives alive

Perry is a gunslinger. With the ****** o line, average running game, he is a better fit. If Perry can limit the INT's to 1 or less a game, we win with him everytime
