Note - Not saying that Williams is trash and did not earn his position by working hard and being a good teammate, leader or lacks talent.
I was thinking about this a few weeks ago during the Bethune game. When Perry came in the offense looked different and for some reason looked better. I passed it off as garbage minutes. It looked different Mainly because Perry pushes the ball down field.
Then this Saturday, when Perry came in we started stretching the field and scoring points. We also did a lot of work out of the gun. Offense again looked like night and day. We actually were hitting big chunk plays.
Most of us read that article where Mark Ritch during his ACC network show talked about Williams before the season started. Ritch looks to have been spot on and now we probably know why he did not get minutes under Ritch. Mark stated that he was great on short and intermediate throws. Was very accurate with those throws but struggled a bit pushing the ball down field and not always knowing where to go with the ball. I guess that is why he holds the ball. Ritch also said he needed to be better in the pocket.
Puts on Tin Foil hat
Did Enos go with J Williams because he wanted to run his offense and not the preferred spread attack? And not go with the player or system that best fit our current roster?
Would Enos be that stubborn? Or Williams just out played everyone
