Man I feel kinda hip and kinda old at the same time reading that. I got jit, unc, OG, Old Heads and YN. but....I had to Google "clap the toolie.' My kids say "clappin cheeks" but I didn't quite think a toolie and cheeks were the same. I guess you really do learn something new each day!

Year of the bull was wild

Wild?
I've seen worse down there, especially Optimist and Pop Warner football. Coaches vs players vs parents. Dudes under the bleachers taking bets for 12-14 year old football. Players told they are going to have to walk home after fumbling late in the game, costing folks money. This was the 1970s and 1980s. I suspect not much has changed.

Yeah, I remember there being disappointment on Signing Day a couple years back when this one didn't go our way. Given the connection with Taylor, Mario should have some insight as to what happened. Not gonna pretend I've watched his film. Defer to staff - one way or the other. IF he's worth a flyer, treat him like that ex-Alabama DT that was onboard for a while before flaming out.

Posters on Noles247 saying Cooper beat *** pretty bad.

Getting your *** beat by a 40 something year old coach when you are a D1 athlete? That is almost Candi level embarrassment.
There's a big difference between GROWN MAN strength & young man ego.

A lot of youngsters just don't understand that just because a Man is in his 30-40's, doesn't mean we're on the brink on Death. Most of us in this age group are in our mental prime, so while physically we might not be as strong as we once were in our early 20's, we're still fully capable of getting to that capacity & have the mental wherewithal to use it effectively.

Or in other words, we can still hand out cans of whoops *** when necessary, just might have to ice the knees up a little bit more.

These are lessons I have to teach to our Blue, Purple & Brown belts on a regular basis, who think because they're young, big & strong that they have a walk in the park with us instructors. Then they find out the hard way that paying a mortgage & having the pressure of having a family to feed & take care of builds a different kinda mental resolve that simple youthful regeneracy cannot account for.

I hated to hear about it. As it has been said, it wasn't a good look for Coop either. That isn't a good look for Cooper and his job security. Evan was on staff here about a decade ago for a short time. Nod to his Pops, SR. I don't know if SR is still coaching himself.

the other thing, is most people have no clue how to actually fight. Those who have some experience or train regularly, have a huge advantage -- even against younger or stronger people
