Sounds like a multitude of things were going on with him. Biggest being he was getting passed up, and the new DC really didn't pull any punches in a recent presser about guys not doing what they were coached to do and making mistakes.

Freelancing and getting beat will land you in a coaches doghouse more than just getting beat but following the techniques and fundamentals being coached. Sounded like the former with him and possibly others that have bounced.

Change of scenery may be good for him, but think we need to be more forward thinking at this point.
He'll fit right in

Him leaving 2 weeks before the season starts definitely says alot. You gotta be really miserable to miss a whole year.
From reading the article, he didn't even voluntarily leave. He was dismissed, which is pretty bad. FSU ain't too high on talent right now so things must have been pretty bad.

I know what his nickname was, that don’t mean u get say “love, love, love dirty Dobler,” sir!

When my cousin was diagnosed with kidney disease in elementary school, she was chosen to be the "poster child" for the National Kidney Foundation fund-raising efforts. She was photographed sitting with Conrad Dobler, and the juxtaposition of the two of them was very moving. Raised a lot of money.

Posters on Noles247 saying Cooper beat *** pretty bad.

Getting your *** beat by a 40 something year old coach when you are a D1 athlete? That is almost Candi level embarrassment.
