Congrats to Sam Shields

I didn't realize McGriff had done so well after leaving here. Coached for the Saints and is now the DC for Vandy.

He turned down the Vandy job and is staying in New Orleans.

If we were ever in the market for a defensive coordinator, McGriff would be a tremendous choice. He is a recruiting monster who led Vanderbilt and Ole Miss to their best classes ever. Vanderbilt's DBs were also among the best in the nation during his tenure.

He's been learning under Rob Ryan, and his vision for Miami is in line with what most of the fans want. He wants aggressive players, doesn't have inflexible rules about size (he wanted to offer Jayron Hosley and Ricardo Allen, for example) and believes that Miami's system should be simplified to accentuate the athletes.

And yes, it was McGriff who pushed for Shields to move to corner for years. He did the same for Lee Chambers.

I actually met coach mcgriff as a recruit in highschool when he was at vandy a couple years back. He was cool as ****

Um he did break up the Dez Bryant catch. Sam Shields career to me is crazy tho. Dude worked extra hard to get to the position he's in now.

Yeah, no.

“It was a catch,” Shields told ESPNDallas.com. “I never said he didn’t catch it. He made a **** of a catch.”

Can you tell me what it went down in the record books as??? OK thank you please go grab a seat

Sam like many players were put in tough situations at the U. Randy told Sam his sophomore year that he should switch to db.

DMoney whats up with the podcast? I already told him to do a interview.
