Headed to Hawaii to replace Darrelle Revis in Pro Bowl.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Miami has the most Pro Bowlers this year (five- Shields, Olsen, Hester, Graham and Campbell). Notably, none of them came from the 2000-2002 teams.

Congrats and interesting fact...

He came this close to breaking up the Dez Bryant non-catch too. He'll forever be the trivia question answer on that one.

Super glad for his Pro Bowl badge.

Um he did break up the Dez Bryant catch. Sam Shields career to me is crazy tho. Dude worked extra hard to get to the position he's in now.

If you told me in 2009 that Brandon Harris and Demarcus VanDyke would be non-factors as pros, and that Sam Shields would be a pro-bowler, I'd slap you in the face.

I wouldn't. In 2009 I was wishing he had one more year because he was really good for playing that position for 6 months. He only had 1 bad game and that was against Oky where Broykes was doing him in. Outside of that he was a beast. People make it seem as if he was a bust. He made a number of plays. He just wasn't consistent as a wide receiver. He led our comeback against UVA in 08 and made countless plays against Wake in 09 to lead us to a comeback victory. He made plays here. He just converted to corner late.

I don't feel like getting into it since this thread should be about how great Sam has played since going pro, but I disagree with your recollection of his UM career.

All I can do is be happy for this guy man seriously no shade here

This is a win for canes nation and a guy that just out in the work

Shields was a non factor here. Was always in Shannon's dog house and was not drafted. Why are we crowning Shannon again?

I can't believe how good that dude is when I watch Packers games. He's so freaking smooth.

As has been the case for the past 10 years, Miami dominating Sundays and ****ting the bed Saturdays.

Wouldn't surprise me to see this trend continue over the years with some of the guys we have going to the NFL in the future. As DMoney said months ago, raw talent will prevail in the league. Guys like Perryman will be free from Corch Al, we'll see them thrive in the NFL.
