I've had some inquiries...
But here's the thing...

College coaching is a full-time grind. There's almost no time off. When you're not coaching, you're recruiting.
Quality of life is extremely important to me.
So IMO it's not worth it unless you're going to be making a significant amount of money. That would rule out most smaller colleges. (which is likely where'd I'd have to start - biggest inquiry I've had so far is from Tennessee Martin)

Part of me thinks it would be better to obtain a high school coaching job at one of these high paying states like GA or Texas. You can make a significant amount of money, you're still coaching/developing actual kids instead of it being a business, AND you'll get TIME OFF to enjoy your life.

I mean...
You guys tell me what you think. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I know this much...
Coaching HS ball in South Florida ain't it.
Not unless you get a really nice gig, and there's only so many schools in the state that can provide that.
My friend is a head coach at the high school level and has had offers from college programs but says the same things as you. He doesn't want to give up the time with his family that it would take to be good in the college level. My good friend that played at UM was offered a job at UM as a analyst as soon as he graduated with Whipple but he didn't want to deal with all the moving around and never ending schedule it takes to be a good college coach. You're doing great work keep it up an good luck with whatever comes your way.

I’ve driven by that stadium during a game, it’s crazy. I bet that stadium has enough seats to fit most of the town.
Is that the school specific stadium or is it for multiple schools in the district?

I lived down in San Antonio for a few years and remember the ISD model and multiple schools shared the stadiums, very nice stadiums, but they were shared.

@Coach Macho you should talk with my old HS coach from Seabreeze in Daytona. He made the leap to Georgia I wanna say like 12 years ago or so. Started out at Tift as the OC and is now the HC at Lambert. Good dude. Name is Marc Beach.

My brother left the coaching staff at a high profile program here in Texas 2 years ago to go make bank working for an ex-player's dad in the insurance industry. Even in Texas the pay:hours ratio is **** compared to what's out there. To be fair, he was not HC or AD. I'm seeing more and more get out of the education field as kids become bigger ****heads, hours/pressure to win increase, and pay is relatively stagnant. Good coaches build great relationships and usually end up in nice, non-football gigs for those who don't end up shooting for HC/AD roles.

Macho, if you're in Texas and curious about any programs, shoot me a DM. I've got friends and family coaching all over DFW and North Texas in general.

Honestly I’m not sure. I just remember thinking every person in the city must have been at the game. The stadium definitely didn’t match the surroundings.

Good stuff, brother. I knew you could bring some in-depth knowledge to this subject.
