Well it's stupid to count by conference anyway. Miami had 9 of the ACC's 38.

G6 tournament would be awesome. The TV revenue generated would help infuse cash into those programs/conferences as well. Not sure why their fanbases are so against it — everyone knows what the deal is, just formalize it into separate divisions like FBS/FCS.

The gap between the P2 + ACC/B12 and the G6 is increasingly widening regarding revenues and talent accumulation. It’s two different levels of football at this point. There should be separate divisions with a separate playoff structure like FBS/FCS. Give those teams an actual shot to compete for a championship, because it ain’t happening under the current framework.

Yeah i think this could work out well; and still have some stakes to it.

That said, the American commissioner is operating on the assumption that the top g6 conference champ will still get into the field of 24 playoffs which is what is likely to happen since the A4 doesn’t want to get sued.

So the other 5 plus the runnerup of the g6 conference champ (likely from the American) who made it into the A4 playoffs.

Additionally a good opportunity for those coaches and players to get some shine on them.

Agreed, but it's not going to happen for the foreseeable future. I do feel bad for the G6 schools because the ones who are able to find hidden talent out of high school and develop it, just lose it for their upperclassmen years to the P4 (just ask our current QB). It must be frustrating as **** to be one of their fans. It's great to be a Miami Hurricane though!

Yup and this is before streaming enters picture or a eastern expansion... SEC numbers will be just as eye watering. Its a P2 era and this underscores why miami will make a move soon. Its a matter of survival. At those numbers, you pay off the acc exit fee in 2 years at worst and thats not counting all the benefits outside just the media payout. Miami may not get a full payout to start but securing your seat at the table is invaluable. Luckily our brain trust is all over this.

Lets just hope that A) We get into B1G, and B) Its immediately as a full distribution member like USC/UCLA seems to be. If that is the case it seems we'd actually have made more than Oregon/UW even with being in the ACC. So from that perspective this wouldn't have been all that bad. Every year that goes by though this is getting more critical we move out.

And while we fit B1G better, if we could get in fully SEC vs only partially B1G.... I'd choose SEC. It's that important.
