MEGA Conference Realignment and lawsuits Megathread: Stories, Tales, Lies, and Exaggerations

BS .... virtually all of the conference split % were publicized in 2024 when the meetings took place. It is nothing new so I don't understand the shock .... I was reading about it as it took place. Heather Dinich had an article covering the changes ESPN dated March 19, 2024. Let Google assist you in seeing the reports from MULTIPLE sources describing the agreement and it's impact.
The conference split % was announced, not that the bonuses would be removed. You know CFP was already paying each conference for the CFP rights right?

Same as the ND mou want announced till the ND AD said it. Same as the G6 not requiring a conf champ was just released as news… all these things were signed then.. they weren’t announced until now.

They didn't "just change the CFP payout rules". That was done in the Spring of 2024, effective for the 2026 season (the new CFP contract) and through the 31-32 season. The "agreement " included contractually ceding format change decisions to the B10 & SEC, and also established the "conference payout" % that heavily favor the B10 and SEC.

SEC & B10 schools will get around $21 million
ACC schools will make around $14 million
B12 schools will make around $12 million
ND will receive around $12 million

The "negotiations" basically came down to the B12 and ACC agreeing to the conditions put on the table by the "P2" or they were going to split and just hold their own championship. So here we are.
Now is the P2 simply saying “Go have your own championship” a realistic threat? Could you imagine if this were to happen. 4 conferences playing for 2 different National Titles, dozens of teams from the self proclaimed “P2” loaded with absolute **** programs like UCLA, Arkansas, Rutgers, etc and then have the audacity to say Miami or Clemson are “lesser” because of TV contracts and not actual on field performance? You’d have multiple programs claiming titles like it was the 1960’s and no fan in the entire country, with straight face, could refute a National Title claim from the ACC or Big 12 if they had their own Championship game because it’s quite obvious that teams like Miami are better than the majority of teams in both P2 leagues and the overall talent differential between the ACC and SEC is practically non-existent. I mean the ACC had a better H2H record against the Big Bad SEC in 2025. This isn’t the same drop off as P4 to G6 or G6 to FCS. Not even close.

The commissioners of the ACC and Big 12 need to grow a pair and call that bluff because it is a major bluff and would hurt the entire sport tremendously.

Ah, the meeting was held in 2024 and the ACC + B12 gave in, hence the current CFP agreement that ESPN has 100% rights to from 2026 through 2031-2032.

Can we get the **** out of the ACC?

I remember 3 years ago people thought our exit was imminent.

What are we doing? With each passing year, we’re going to fall further and further behind when it comes to generating revenue.
You mean the conference doesn't recognize that we're their premier brand and does their best to schedule us at prime times when all eyes will be on us?

Do the schools split those amounts above? If so, when in the eff are they giving ND $12 million on its on?

Does the ACC winner still get to keep all of the winnings? If so, it works in our favor long as we make a deep run every year.

Nonetheless, what an embarrassment for the ACC and Big 12.

The UM administration is more committed to football than its ever been, much respect, they get a lot of credit; however, if they don't take this opportunity to get out of the ACC, they are risking one of the most impressive turnarounds in all of sports. The brand is red hot again, loved and hated. The ACC is a bush league conference, from the referees all the way up to the invisible leadership. Oh, and now they just stuck us with 4 Th/Fri games????

CFB has gone the way of the megaconference. Get on the phone and get in on it with whichever one will take you and be done with the ACC. It's every program for itself, don't call FSU, don't reach out to Clemson, don't make some kind of deal with Syracuse, BC, or whoever else. It's about the U and your brand, let the Noles rot. They can keep the rivalry as an OOC game or **** right off. They were about to do the same to us.

Prior to this run I would’ve said our only chance is the big 10. But I just have this feeling SEC would be willing to play ball with us now.

I share what I hear. Sometimes I’m wrong, feel free to ignore me sweet cheeks
“Proving” someone wrong who has genuine access to individuals with information about the program is a self-fulfilling prophecy, because even the individuals themselves get things wrong. All the freaking time.

You could be Mario himself and make incorrect predictions.

The real funny thing will be to see if they make Brady or Gronk wait.

Wicked ****a. LOL, good morning, and fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Bahstin!

Love how the dopes in Beantown say, "pahk the cah near the bah."

The **** is that chit, meng?

IMHO, Brady should be in. They should make Gronk wait for being so **** goofy. Him and the other jackass, Travis (nothing to do with Bahstin, but why not).

PIB loves everyone. Go Canes!!!
