I'm trying to figure out how this bill, based on what we know, would survive First, Tenth, and Fourteenth Amendment challenges. Maybe the CIS attorneys can weigh in.

If the ACC losses 4 teams don't we end up with the SEC/BIG10 super league anyway? What's left at that point? Nobody is going to give a s*** about what's left in the ACC and BIG12. This bill should be breaking up the conferences. Instead, it seems to be accelerating the end under the guise of helping.

This is probably going to **** some people off but right now the entire government is the wild west of power and money grabbing for the wealthy. If you're a rich person this is the greatest time to be alive since the gilded age. There is no way in he** that all of this isn't connected to people trying to maximize power and wealth. There is absolutely no altruism involved in this bill.

B10 is going to hold that spot for ND for eternity

It would be good for college football if they did join the B1G. ND would have to play a real schedule and likely have lots of 8-9 win seasons and constantly miss the playoffs. If we can’t get the last B1G slot, seeing the giant balloon heads of ND get popped by not being able to cherry pick a schedule would be a decent consolation prize.

Unfortunately, I don't think they ever join, and yet the B10 will keep that spot open for them for eternity.

They’re gunna hold the spot until 2030? When they could just get Miami as the 19th member and have ND join them as the “schedule agreement” partner for like 6-8 games? Eh

Best-case scenario:

1. Senate passes PCSA with 19-team cap (edit: and 5-year mandatory independence punishment) intact this week.

2. Schools begin applying the squeeze to their representatives in the House — where only 50% plus one votes is needed — to pass the PCSA but with the 19-team cap removed

3. Bill passes the house late this month or by the middle of next month.

4. Senate gets the bill back and school administrators and their wealthy benefactors put the squeeze on their state's senators to pass the House's version of the bill without the 19-team cap. Senate passes the PCSA, potentially before the end of September.

Dropping the 19 team cap AND eliminating the requirement of 5 years as an independent in order to move to a new conference.

Representative Ashley Moody filed three more amendments to the PCSA.
