Not sure 4 wheelers even existed then, 84-85 or thereabouts. We would ride from a buddy's house in cooper city all the way to where the sportatorium used to be, to holiday park, wherever. No phones, nada

Picked strawberries, as a kid, in the U-Pickem fields of what would later become Wellington.
In the early ‘60’s, I picked pole beans with my grandmother in fields in south Miami that would become plant nurseries. Not sure what has become of that land today.

I’ll throw one in here…although I’m not quite as old as some of y’all…

She also never could get over how far west things expanded. She said she would always consider 95 “way out west in the boonies.” 🤣

From the subject line, is going independent an option when the school wants out of the ACC? I know it’s been 30 years but Miami won 3 national championships as an independent before joining the Big East… I would think with sustained success similar to 2024 the brand will continue to be strong and warrant interest from some streaming platforms. Netflix, prime? Could field easy opponents in FIU/FAU/FAMU/Bethune/USF/UCF while re kindling some old foes in Penn St/OU/WV etc & trying to keep some annuals with UF/FSU/VT/Pitt
