Honestly sounded like a lot of BSDid you read all that??
USC wouldn't come to the Big 10 with UCLA. FSU has no such limitation on itself.Yeah FSU isn’t bringing them the SFL market like Miami is. You can’t say on the one hand UCLA helps bring the second biggest tv market to the BIG (when Miami comparatively has better TV #’s than they do), and then wave off Miami bring SFL because maybe they think FSU can. Miami and FSU have distinct markets.
Of course it does. However, what percentage of the college football viewing market in SFL does the University of Miami provide? Hopefully it's enough to satisfy B1G desires. You'd think Miami's TV market would have some value.
It was an interesting "what if":Did you read all that??
Last year's matchup with TAMU had over 4 million viewers. That's not too shabby for a pair of 5-7 teams. It definitely shows we've got plenty of eyes if we field a decent product.Of course it does. The Miami TV market isn't really that large (It's only Dade County), more than half do not speak English and a lot less give a crap about college football.Yeah FSU isn’t bringing them the SFL market like Miami is. Just click on "read 1 reply" and it opens the Twitter discussion where he lays out a supposed ESPN offer that is "being presented" to FSU / Clemson & the ACC.When I click on the BIg12Insider link above all I see is 2023 posts. What the heck is he saying?
Where is Miami in this?Just click on "read 1 reply" and it opens the Twitter discussion where he lays out a supposed ESPN offer that is "being presented" to FSU / Clemson & the ACC.
This guy is a ******* clown
JeJe, unless Miami filed a suit against the ACC and forgot to publicize it, I guess, in THAT scenario, IF that proposal were accepted, Miami is in the ACC for a loooong time ... but they would have to AGREE to the newly proposed media deal (which will be less than the current one). That is the big concern at THIS juncture, that ESPN will orchestrate some sort of mediation that will get FSU / Clemson out of the ACC, into the SEC, and also LOCK the ACC into a new GOR effective through 2036. Then we're screwed. Miami needed to be fighting to get out, not protecting the status quo. Hope FSU doesn't cut that kind of deal, ESPN doesn't extend, and we get to the B10. But UM needs to WANT IT and fight to get there. Haven't seen any sign of life in that regard so far.Where is Miami in this?
You seem to forget that Miami and the rest of the Conference would need to agree to such a settlement. That would include other brands that want to get out, such as UNC. There's no way we'd agree to any such deal locking us into the conference long term. Especially at a lower payout. Bingo! We need to help usher them out the door. I still think that Miami has a wink nod agreement with the ACC as far as getting out when the time is right. That is why they are going along to help the ACC stay afloat after those that want to leave, leave.IF FSU and Clem were to join the SEC, that would not take B1G spots [if any remain] that might be available to us.
I did read all of it, and it does make sense for ESPN to broker this deal for their own self-interest.Did you read all that??
