Conference Championship Saturday

Great academic institution & actually had a legit run under George Welch. Unable to sustain. At this point, a lot of programs are awakening to the need to spend money. Another issue is VT has also had a rude awakening & much better bet.
VT doesn't have the deep pockets or pedigree that UVA has. One thing UVA also has going for it is that it's elite in a number of other sports, too. Elite Basketball and Baseball program. They'll keep the money rolling.

Silly comparison, but Mendoza reminds me of an Eli Manning. Lanky & doesn’t resemble a great athletic, but more athletic than he looks & navigates well in the pocket.

I thankfully know nothing about basketball, is that good?
*** yeah
Called a timeout w 16 sec left
We got ball on baseline down 1
Ran “box” play freed up our big for a layup then harassed them down court where they didn’t get a shot off!!!
Kids actually ran it perfectly
Lfg 1-0 baby

This may have been discussed already so sorry if I’m repeating, but just off top of mind I can think of 3 times this has happened in the CFP, and conference championship games are still going strong. 2017 Wisconsin AND Auburn got booted for idle Alabama (who had just beat Bama the week before), and 2022 USC got booted for idle Ohio State.

Are they going strong? They’re still playing them but I think there’s far more discussion than ever that we might want to look at something different.

I think even if they’re the 2 seed it’s the same discussion. You’re not taking Alabama from IN to OUT based off what happened in a game they earned their way into. Not when OU and Ole Miss and A&M get to sit home and be in no danger when they didn’t earn their way into the game.
THe issue with them "earning" their way is that UGA, Bama, Ole Miss and TAMU all had 7-1 conference record. Did they "earn" their way in or just won on the tiebreaker scenario?

But I agree bama is probably in, i would drop ND out.

1. Turnout. This time of year people are vacationing or seasonal residents in Florida. No one except a die hard fan of the two teams involved, is traveling to freeze their butt off, to watch a game they’re not invested in.

2. Product. Whether at the game or on TV, people nationally, want to watch a big game, where the teams can exhibit their best form, without wind, cold or snow being a major factor.

Only 1 Super Bowl in history has been played outside a warm stadium or dome and that was because Goodell is a hypocritical ***, that wanted a game in his home state (NYC).
The balls of the guy to do it after he ****ed and moaned when threatening Miami about hosting a SB again without a cover for the fans because of a little bit of rain during the Colts vs Saints SB. Then, not even a year later, he announces NYC was getting the game without a cover. I wish they would have had 2 feet of snow drop during the game.
