I wish I had your optimism. I don't see them giving a pity spot to Miami simply because they want an ACC representative. If anything, I think they'll say Miami should have been in the ACC championship (they should have) and because of that decision, Miami is not going to take another team's spot.

Miami gets in if they deserve it over ND, but I have my doubts with this committee.

No, the playoff committee is the problem. We have a playoff with each conference having their own tiebreaker system. That makes no sense.
