Conference Championship Saturday

Honestly I have no idea, my only thought is does the world really need 5 SEC teams in the playoff?
I watched a lot of football last week and so unimpressed with Bama & OU. ND handles them both. Haven’t really seen any Ole Miss so no comment there.

I’m convinced ND & Miami beat those guys best on best

at this point we may want to have BYU win this one

just to keep out Notre Dame

and at least it was Miami that knocked Notre Dame out of the playoffs in Game One

because with the way things are going BYU will still be between ND and Miami, or Bama will be between Notre Dame and Miami.

How did BYU win 11 games with this offense? They have no vertical threat.

This is how....

Realistically, Miami should be in over Bama, as we have the same record and a common opponent, who they got dominated by
So funny my man. I agree and Oklahoma is a joke too but we are fighting the machine here. No way bama gets left out two years in a row. They would have to get destroyed by 50 and lose half the team to injuries tonight. Even then espn will say they are in.

No, but it’s going to happen unless Georgia wins by 40+

Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. Sankey is a smart guy, maybe he realizes having nearly half the field be playoff teams makes it look like the SEC invitational and could lead the other conferences to try and make changes to the playoff system. SEC should be happy with 4 teams pretty much guaranteed every year. 5th team gets sacrificed to quiet the rabble.

It hurts to watch this BYU/Texas Tech game, knowing that the Canes could whip both of these teams if they played next week. The Canes are one of the best teams on both sides of the ball right now.

I guess this is the consequence of hitting terrible a midseason slump. We have to sit hear and pray for breaks to get in

TT is a good team, but they don't look like the #4 team in the country. I don't think they're even a top 10 team based on what I see. There OL looks kind of weak.

I hope we get in because I think Miami can beat any team in the CFP.

I think a lot of that slump was Dawson. When he got called out by Borry Jorkson things changed.

This game is going to be a disaster for us. If BYU loses real close, they will keep them ahead of us and then they can flip flop Bama and ND or not and it wont matter

I'd be surprised if this game stayed close with an injured QB and limited offense that isn't built to come from behind. BYU RB has to take over the game.

Love the analogy…”fighting the machine”

Someone tell TTU DC that the BYU QB not a threat to throw the ball more than 5-10 yards down the field. Don't think you need 2 high safeties bud

We’re not jumping BYU if they keep this game close. And frankly BYU is the one getting screwed if they are kept out after going 11-2 with a close conf champ loss. Just like not honoring H2H, leaving them out would be a bad precedent.

Is that the consensus? I’m thinking they get in regardless at 10-3. If they win then the committee would have a harder time using them as a buffer between us and ND. They would need to pass ND.

I’m going to guess they have a lot of big tough Samoans on the lines
