Concern About Team Preparation - A Post-Mortem

IDK why CMR cant bring out 1-2 unique plays every game.... We have the elite O playmakers to just get silly..... freaking 1st play of the game, start out of the wildcat with DJ... anything different and funky to keep other teams wondering....
How about a double reverse flea-flicker and a HB option pass? Would that make you happy?

I don't think creative play calling = flea flicker's. Mixing it up with tempo or finding ways to create more space for JT4 or a more sophisticated run game or all ways to be creative.

I don't think its preparation, we have terrible special teams. FSU was starting at midfield almost the whole game, it was the same for LSU. That's why we can out gain them and lose or struggle to win. Those punters are terrible, i have never seen a worse Miami punter, in two separate players. Its not the coverage teams, they can't cover if the punt is low and get to the returner with acres of space. We gonna need to recruit another one. This will cost us more games.

Conservative play calling on offense and pair that with our D who needs a series to get going and that’s a recipe for slow starts.

Too me this was a situation in which Perry was overwhelmed in the first half. And the OL did not help that. I think we felt we could just run it down their throats. When that didn’t happen Perry was not ready to respond. Thankfully he woke up at half time. That experience will help him be ready for all situations going forward.

It’s often a bad excuse but we flat out weren’t executing. There were plays to be made and we had bad throws, bad drops, bad blocks, bad tackles, bad awareness etc

We were prepared in my opinion, but FSU were the ones making the plays.

And it doesn’t matter who you are playing if your OL loses the battle it’s going to be a long game.
